I feel better knowing that I am not the only one.
Dynon,
Welcome back. Happy New Year!! Can you publish the formal GNS-430 settings.
I will contact Garmin support and get a "GNS 430 Configuration sheet." It is a four page document that walks through the process for setup on the various...
Jake,
I am very confident the Approach Stack system is attached correctly. It truly is a plug and play system (I have checked it about four times as well).
The fact I can not display the EFIS/Airdata in the GNS-430 config settings is problematic. I think the below settings was a work around...
Folks,
The settings on the GNS430 are kicking my butt!! I recently upgraded my panel and cannot get the 430 serial data connection to work. I have been through this before with an early Dynon software version.
I added the Dynon ARINC429, and have the latest Dynon software - 2.6
Assuming I...
UPDATE - WingX Pro (version 5.0) just came out with in flight WX!! They are using Skyradar as the ADS-B TIS Wifi provider.
If I remember from a previous post, Dynon was looking at NavWorx for the Wx provider for the Skyviews. Would be nice if it could be used for both (Ipad as well). Tim...
I have used the Approach Fast Stack System for four panel upgrades. It truly is a plug and play system. If I did not have it, I would not/could not upgrade my panel(s).
I am about to add another GNS-430 to my panel, I would not attempt unless I had the Approach system.
Highly recommend the...
Jack,
Thanks, found it!!

My assumption is that the other connection "out" is to the network - make sense? Tim
Dynon,
In anticipation of the release of the Xponder and ARINC-429 next week :-) .......
Tried to look for this, sorry if you answered it somewhere else :-(
Xponder
Will it be wired (other than antenna, ground, power) just using using the Network cables? If so, I assume a Network splitter...
Folks,
I have been asked to post my experiences with the Dynon Skyviews, and my Velocity.
I have updated my website with observations about the Dynons while in flight. It is not as detailed as I would like, but I will add more details.
I hope to add some videos (not from my cell phone :-) )...
Rudi,
I now have about ten hours of fight time with the filters installed. I have no problems with bleed over now (of course I just jinxed myself!!).
Tim
Folks,
Now that I am flying the Skviews, I am planning cross country flights. I really want to configure the system to maximize its capabilities.
I have a Gems LS-7 Fuel Level Switch in my sump tank. It will get triggered once the fuel goes below 6 gallons.
I did read the manual, but am...
Hugh,
Glad I could help!! This is a great forum to share experiences, and resolve small nagging problems (most - self induced).
Dynon - I agree those programs are good. I have both, and I also have ASA's IFR On Top software. I saw the Avidine system and loved it as a result of flying in the...
Folks,
I just finished up my “five hours fly off” for my Skyview Velocity panel. I replaced my entire panel with two Skyview systems. My CFII, A&P, IA also a FAA ATC wanted me to fly the five hours (this was not mandated by the FSDO). I wanted to offer my initial observations – WOW!! My...
I decided to replace my wires, and it appears I had a faulty crimp. It now works!! Nice to see the RPM reading come to life.
Thanks - this was driving me crazy. Tim
Well, I am certainly glad I read these posts.
I informed Dynon that I was getting feedback on my radios (GNS-430 and SL 40). Simple test - turn radios on, then the SVs. I would get interference on at least one of the radios.
I did receive the filters - thank you Dynon!!
I have not...
Dynon,
If you are referring to the blue and green wires, yes, they were actually disconnected when I received the harness.
Yes, the pins, according to the engine menu setup, are configured for RPM.
Any other suggestions? Tim
