Thanks for the reply, Dynon. I thought of the offset last night during my flight back to SC. Yes, I have -1' adjustment. I do remember reading about this in another thread. No offset adjustment on the FD, I assume - hence the update comment...? I adjusted pitch sens from 10 to 12 and VSI...

Dynon - any word on the screen shot above? I assume the pitch bars should be nested in the FD during AP flight w/ altitude hold on..? I will do the pitch auto tuning again starting with the IAS hold procedure again - possibly increase pitch sensitivity. After that, looks like possibly...

Appendix A of the tuning guide has default, min, and max values. 24 is the max pitch sensitivity.

Evening Dynon, As I reread my post, I can see how it was misleading. I was referring to the G1000 switching from sby to alt automatically. Meant that I missed it prior to the latest update. Likewise, I missed the FD of the GFC-700 autopilot, but you all have that covered in the next update...

Here here! I love the new technology as much as the next guy - the auto transponder setting is great! (really missed it from flying the G1000). However, we must remain focused on checking and verifying all operation, automated or not. Definitely a before takeoff checklist item.

It can't. Don't think it is short sighted, however. Unless I'm missing it, no other EAB EFIS system has an integrated nav radio. Seems like a high R&D cost for a very few number that would likely sell.

Think of a FD like lateral and vertical guidance during an ILS. Some FDs are crosshairs, some are chevrons - I believe Dynon has both available to be selected in the upcoming update. Keep your attitude indicator in the chevrons and you'll be on your selected course, on altitude, on airspeed...
