    OAT Sensor location

Steve - When I purchased my 7A it had the probe installed in the right fuse NACA duct - horrible location. I purchased another probe and installed it in the middle inspection panel of the right wing. Simple retrofit and works perfectly in that location.

    Interference problem

Mine is the same, and it is a known issue. The EMS module must be returned to Dynon for the fix.

    Log File Questions.

I believe the user data file is the one you want - black box is only a portion of the data. I believe they are the same data only difference being the reduced length of the black box file.

    Dynon NAV Radio for Skyview?

Mmmm - this is interesting and something that I guess I always just assumed (incorrectly :-? ). Never gave it too much thought since I fly with a 430, but from what I gathered from some quick research, only GPS, transponder, and altitude encoding equipment must meet TSO. So, hypothetically, if...

    Dynon NAV Radio for Skyview?

This caught me off-guard as well, or I wouldn't have posted the link that I did and confused things. I didn't know the 'not going to happen' only applied to the MB portion. I could have sworn this was covered previously and the response was not a possibility due to TSO and products already...

    GPSS / VNAV HSI setting

No, you're not missing anything - have to manually select the NAV source. Dynon I'm sure will chime in, but, while it would be very nice for it to work as you state in your scenario, I'm not sure how it would be able to work. I have 4 options for a nav source that can be 'navigating' at any...

    Auto Pilot Drop Out

Can you explain what you mean by set up and drop? Prior to t/o I imagine you mean preselect altitude/heading? You're saying your preselected altitude and heading change during your take off roll?

    Flight plan tracking

I think a little more info would help - especially what GPS is driving your AP, what is your full EFIS/AP setup?  I'm a Skyview user, but believe that you would need a certified GPS connected to an ARINC-429 module - in your case an HS34, I believe.  Other than that, I don't believe you will...

Changing altitude with Expert Autopilot v6.0

+2! Seems a bit cumbersome for the first few times, but is quick and easy after that. Very nice to have the ability to preselect parameters on the ground and for different phases of a flight.

Advice on altitude hold performance (screenshot)

May be misreading your post, but the fix will be to the FD not matching the AI if you have a pitch offset programmed (in my case, -1'). The fix for the autopilot performance came from going through the inflight tuning guide - several times in my case!

Changing altitude with Expert Autopilot v6.0

You're doing nothing wrong - works just like certified A/Ps that I am used to using. Seems like a bit of button pushing when compared to the old system, but it is quick after a few uses. The beauty of the ugrade - and the reason for a few extra button pushes is the preslection choices and...

    Battery test

I think my battery is bad.  I spoke with customer service on the phone recently, and some confusion was cleared up (didn't know the SV screen had to be on to charge the bu batt).  So, charged the battery before leaving on a trip over the holiday weekend.  2.7 hour flight, sat for 2 nights, and...
