Removed the transducer...blew through it...heard "click...click....whiiiiiizzzzzzzz". Plugged it back in, blew through it again...got a great reading on skyview. I guess after a few years of sitting around it got stuck. Love the taste of avgas. ;)

I'm not getting a reading from the EMS-220 for fuel flow, even in the debug screen, connected to pin14. I've got 12 volts at the transducer, and continuity on the signal wire from the transducer to the EMS. What else can I check to figure out if this sensor is pooched?

I found that my screen starts to flicker when the battery voltage starts to get low...even with a backup battery connected. As soon as I charge the battery, or disconnect the main battery and run only off a charged backup, the flicker seems to goes away. Could be a common, though very minor...

Well, I guess I could monitor voltage/current through the EMS for now, I just won't have circuit status for the first few months flying...I think I can get over that. Maybe I'll just fly with a laptop as a passenger for a while! :)

So, did some checking. First on the EMS side, if I split the 5v to gnd with two equal resistors onto the gn/rd wire, I get a reading of 31.8inhg. With the gn/rd wire disconnected, I get 8.8inhg, connected to either gnd or 5v, I get the red X. My assumption is this is probably normal, and the EMS...

Ok, I'll check the wiring (this has been rewired once, its always possible it has been connected incorrectly previously), and with the 5v applied, I'll check the voltage on the center pin with a pressure change, and let you know the results. Chris

Hmmm..here's a thought, Vern. If Dynon is working on a comm radio, perhaps the future could hold a built in audio panel as well, which could possibly include built-in mutable entertainment...I don't have Dynon's crystal ball, but wouldn't it be nice? ps...the 9A is probably 3 months from first...

Hi, with MAP sensor plugged into my skyview ems, my MAP guage is crossed out with a red X. With the power/gnd wires supplying 5v, and plugged in, when I disconnect the signal wire, the red x goes away, and I get a reading between 50-60. Plug the signal wire back in, and red x comes back. Sound...

Well, its still Dynon's fault: If Skyview wasn't such a great product, I'd be reading the manual instead of playing with the buttons! :)

When setting up the EMS widget positions, its a bit cumbersome clicking away at the joystick knobs to move the widgets to their desired locations. It would be nice to be able to hold a knob in an up/down/left/right position to move a widget continuously to the desired location, and then release...

Somewhere along the way there was a posting describing how you could connect two sensors in series (ie airspeed switch & landing gear position switch) to a skyview GP input, such that when both are closed it activates the warning. If you already have these switches installed, and are using them...

Yeah, i agree...in the feature list it looks like interface with SL30/40 is planned for a future upgrade, though I might expect this to fully control the SL30/40 from skyview. I would hope to use some of that functionaly to send data to the A210 (NMEA + VHF out). The A210 also has a serial tx...

I've got an Icom A210 that inputs NMEA + VHF to get nearby frequencies from GPS database...I think the SL30 & SL40 have similar capabilites. Will Skyview eventually be setup to output VHF (or is it already, didn't see a list of available formats in the documentation...I could be hard of seeing)?

Wow, its a good thing its got that 25pin connector! With four pins too hook up, its almost running out of room! lol Thanks for the diagram! We'll be putting one of these in for sure.
