    Switching from MGL to Dynon

Can't address the 2nd question, but the answer to the first question is no. Skyviews can only talk to Skyview servos.

    Need Additional inputs for EMS-220

Hmmm. So for $650, I can add a bunch more "A", "B" and "C" inputs (no more serial lines, though), and a bunch more TC's as well. But I can't get a datalog of their values (except for the TC's). Is this a correct interpretation of your statement? Thanks for looking into this further...

Sending flight plan to Dynon HDX and Garmin GNC355

That's not correct. I have a Garmin GPS175 (the GPS part of the GNC355) and I can send flight plans from Foreflight on my iPhone/iPad to the 175 via bluetooth, as @Denok indicated. My friend with a GNX375 can do the same. The GNC355 (and the GTN650/750 series) are no different. What I generally...

    Need Additional inputs for EMS-220

Thanks. Another addition would be more Serial lines. It doesn't take a lot to use them all up - between the transponder, ADS-B, ELT and GPS-2020, that's 4 out of 5, and if I added the backup GSP250, there'd be none left over for a CO detector, SpO2 monitor, or O2 pressure monitor (and certainly...

    Need Additional inputs for EMS-220

So I've got a COZY MKIV with a dual bus electrical system (two alternators, two batteries, based on the AEC Z-14 schematic). At this point, pretty much EVERY input to the EMS-220 is taken up with some sort of sensor except for C37 P11 which I'm holding in reserve for when I get around to...

    Autopilot tuning: Altitude Capture Procedure.

Charlie - if you look at the flowchart to which you're referring, the box that says "...gradually getting closer" has two exits - one says "yes", the other says "no". Your plane is doing "no". So the fix is to "Decrease Altitude Gain". In a Long-EZ and COZY III in which I recently installed...

    Problem with displayed winds

Charlie - the magnetometer is the most likely culprit - if it's off by 10 degrees, at the speeds we fly in our canards, that'll give wildly inaccurate wind indications. I'd try both the on-ground and in-air calibrations again. While it's possible that an OAT sender that's off a few degrees will...

    GRT Oil Temperature sensor

Said the same thing on the canard forum - look in the Dynon installation manual - you need to tell the system in the setup EMS screen that you've got a GRT sensor.

Seattle Avionics Charts on USB Stick expired ??????

How is this different from when dinosaurs got paper plates in a 3 ring binder, got the new changed plates every 28 days, swapped out the old paper ones for the new paper ones, and left the 98% that hadn't changed alone, so that 98% of the plates had dates on them that were old? Seems like the...

    G*rmin Interface

I have an HDX and GPS175 and the combination works just fine, as specified in the documentation for both units. No issues.

    MPG Widget

Actually, if you're trying to figure out engine performance, TAS/GPH is a far more useful determinant, as it's not affected by wind - it's JUST a function of the aircraft's performance.

    Garmin GPS 175 Installation

I have a dual HDX system with a G5 backup and a GPS 175. The G5 is fed from a serial port from the 175, while the ARINC goes to the HDXs. I don't remember what my configuration setup is, but it works fine - data goes to both, and the G5 can act as the HSI from the 175 if you want.

Autopilot Rolls Into Turns Like A Fighter Pilot

Which was why I told them to adjust the sensitivity as well as the gain. There's no reason that it should be acting as if it's in a dogfight. Roll rate being too fast will not be fixed by changing maximum bank angle - it'll just roll too quickly to a lower angle. Doesn't fix the problem.

Autopilot Rolls Into Turns Like A Fighter Pilot

Bank angle for standard rate turns is dependent upon TAS - it's not a single angle. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_rate_turn

Autopilot Rolls Into Turns Like A Fighter Pilot

I would lower the ROLL SENSITIVITY, not the ROLL GAIN.

Problem with Adding a cabin temp sensor.

Without wading through your version of War and Peace, let's move on. Chapter 7 of the Skyview Installation manual, under "General Purpose Temperature Sensor" indicates that an OAT sensor can be used for any temperature sensor, and shows what pins it can be attached to - basically, ANY General...

Problem with Adding a cabin temp sensor.

Well, the Dynon OAT probe is not a thermocouple at all, either "J" or "K". It's a thermistor. So if you set it up as a thermocouple, it won't work.

    shock cooling

I won't comment on whether Lycoming understands the engines that they build particularly well, or science, but here are three references wrt shock cooling: https://www.rapp.org/archives/2012/02/aviation-myths-part-2/ https://www.avweb.com/ownership/shock-cooling-myth-or-reality/...
