Mode S "N" number not pinging. Says I'm Russian?

You might want to try putting your N number in the "Tail" field. You have it in the "Flight ID" but not in tail. On some of the test sets, Flight ID is a callsign which can change whereas the tail number does not. Pretty simple to give it a try.

    Bearing needle?...

Rotating course does not matter on localizer/ILS but will on VOR. If you center the needle in flight on the SL30, do you get the needle on the Dynon?

    Bearing needle?...

No signal is shown and the aircraft is on the ground. Since it is a localizer, you would need to have the aircraft in the beam which is quite narrow and aligned with the runway. Try switching to VOR mode. If you can receive the VOR on the ground at your field you will be able to see the bearing...

VAL NAV 2000 + Dynon Skyview

Calling Dynon Support would yield the definitive answer but it seems to be a serial only connection. As such, it would be sent to an available serial input on the control harness. It may even use the Garmin SL30 control protocol so you would select that as the connection type and set the baud...

VAL NAV 2000 + Dynon Skyview

It is shown on the picture above immediately to the right of the HSI. The glideslope is green matching the localizer needle.

    VNAV

I believe in VNAV mode it will continue through the MDA minimums you set so as to maintain a stable approach for you as you disconnect when you see the runway. The Go Around will be armed when VNAV is active so if you so not see the runway environment at minimums, you would activate the Go...

    Wiring connections

You do not want to attach both Dynon screens to a single sensor. All the sensors should go to a single EMS module. The EMS module will connect to both screens through the Dynon network connection.

    VNAV

If the vertical mode is VNAV it should continue to descend while warning you as you pass the minimums you set. In IAS Hold or Vertical Speed it will level off. Your final segment in the example above will be flown in VNAV.

    Direct To User Waypoint

You should be able to enter it manually. That is what I do. Check the list of User Waypoints to see if all the ones you entered are there. Any chance you did not save the point you created initially? It needs to be saved and that is the time to name it something you remember. I recommend not...

    VNAV

You can make the Classic (I have these just like you) do the entire approach on autopilot. Start in NAV mode and ALT hold. When you are level inbound to the first fix, set the next fix altitude restriction. When you reach the fix, use either Vertical Speed (500-700 FPM down) or IAS Hold mode to...

    Direct To User Waypoint

Go to the Dynon flight plan, put cursor on your current point, select Insert Waypoint, move the point to the appropriate position, insert the point into the flight plan, then hit Direct.

    VNAV

That feature is coming for the HDX systems in a firmware update. My understanding is they are trying to make it the next one coming out. I am told the Classic and Touch will not get it due to lack of processor speed.

Rv6 fuel level calibration max at 14 gallons

A gap of 6 gallons is excessive and likely your float is not reaching the top of the fuel tank when full. I normally see 2 or 3 gallons difference between maximum indicated and full when installing Skyview systems in RV's. While you could verify the float arm is bent correctly according to the...

    Upgrade from D100 to SkyView

All of the sensors from the D100 work on the Skyview system including Classic, Touch and HDX. No wiring other than possibly moving a few pins on the display harness is what I believe. You will want to phone tech support for a definitive answer as this question will be best answered by phone.

    NO ADSB OUT: GPS LOST

You say the map is displayed but the screen shows the GPS 2020 offline so the information is not getting to the system. Any chance there is a question mark where the plane should be on the map? I think a call to Dynon support on the phone is in order. Check your System>Serial setup page and look...

    NO ADSB OUT: GPS LOST

I think the transponder gets the information from the Skyview over a serial port. Check the serial port setup in the Skyview to make sure your SV-XPNDR 261 is shown and properly configured. Then look to see there is message traffic on the bus. You should see steady counting Good Messages and no...

    OAT Temp probe adjustment

That location will not read correctly. Air spills out of the intake, some can leak through the cowl seam and ideally the other side of the temp sender would also be at ambient temperature. Yours is right where your cabin heat is greatest when used. The installation manual says the wires can be...

    Tach running double time

The post just above gives the correct location. The engine does not need to be running.

    Tach running double time

You need to go to the engine parameters and change the pulses per revolution number. The resistor is not the issue. This value should be in the engine information section SETUP MENU > EMS SETUP > ENGINE INFORMATION if memory serves. Double the number currently in the field. I think the default...

    OAT Temp probe adjustment

The installation manuals are available on the Dynon site. They are in PDF format and are updated as the systems change and include a list of changes per version. I keep a current copy on the computer at home as well as the iPad used in the plane. There is a lot of very good information on every...
