    Using Dynon For Performance Testing

Thanks for your advice... If anyone has used the SV data logging to conduct performance testing/recording if you can kindly provide some feedback on the techniques you used I would be most appreciative.

    Using Dynon For Performance Testing

Hi All, I want to do some performance testing such as takeoff and landing distance and cruise speed economy data recording. Is the data recording feature of the SV system adequate for reasonably accurate performance testing and logging (I imagine 16 logs per second should be good)? I have two...

    SV-OAT-340 Connector and pins

Thanks...as advertised Dynon was kind enough to send me the replacement connectors. BTW...they tols me that the connector is a Molex Micro-Fit PN:43645-0200 (DigiKey PN:WM1845ND), and the pins are PN:43030-0007 (DigiKey PN:WM1837-ND). You might be able to find these at a hobby shop that...

    Pitot heat to EMS 220

Dave, I believe the pitot heat status line (white wire) is an GROUND or NO GROUND wire...in other words the voltage output does not modulate. The PITOT HEAT STATUS line (White wire) is grounded when the controller is turned off or not functioning properly. The PITOT HEAT STATUS line (White...

    SV-OAT-340 Connector and pins

I lost one of the SV-OAT-340 connectors for my two ADAHRS and cut the wires to length both pairs of wires to route the wires cleanly and therefore I need a plastic connector and set of crimp on pins. I already Googled "SV-OAT-340 replacement pins" and even did a search on this site but did not...

Fuel Pressure with Engine/fuel Pump Off

jabarr, You are really not as helpful as you are impudent...because IF you did a google search of VDO 0-10 bar sender you will end up on the VDO website and they have about 50 senders listed and they all look similar so I asked for help to meke sure I got the right one... I bet the boyz siting...

New FlyQ Online / EFB versions w/ more Dynon supp

FlyQ website says>If you're still using another app, perhaps it's time to ask yourself why. OK...I am using another app so I will ask...why? In my experimental airplane flying I have used ForeFlight for flight planning and WIFI integration with the Skyview system when airborne. What exactly...

Fuel Pressure with Engine/fuel Pump Off

I looked up the Aircraft Spruce part number is 10-01568 that Dynon recommended on the AS site and it states: VDO pressure senders are not to be used with any type of fuel application. Is there a concern about the membrane getting dissolved/attached by fuel?

Fuel Pressure with Engine/fuel Pump Off

Thanks for the information. I was hoping to find one locally and/or cheaper than AS. What is the VDO part number?

Fuel Pressure with Engine/fuel Pump Off

Does anyone know the part number for the "Legacy" (VDO) fuel pressure sender? I have a fuel injection engine so I need the 100411-001 unit. I ask because my fuel pressure shows 7 PSI even when the engine is stopped. It is firewall (actually adel clamped to the engine mount) mounted and the...

    ADSB 472

What is the features difference in the 470 verses the 472? >11/06/2017 (I can't say exactly how much longer, as we will want to prove them out completely before releasing. But getting close.) I have the 470 and am on the waiting list for the 472. Any word on how much closer?

    Fuel Edit Not Working Correctly

    >Our advice is to generally not edit the calibration tables manually because it can be confusing to tune them to be truly correct. Confusing for me or the SV system? :D The process seemed really straight forward...pour in 5 gallons a side...wait a few minutes for values to stabilize (because...

    Fuel Edit Not Working Correctly

My fuel tanks were previously calibrated however I wanted to make sure that they were accurate so I did a edit of the fuel system calibration results. I had to do this because the total capacity was unknown prior to filling it up and therefore I had no way of doing the 10 equal pours. When I...

    Rainbow Screen of Death

Thanks. I should have mentioned in my original post that the first new screen was installed in the left side and the old faithful screen was in the right side. When the first new screen experienced "Rainbow Death" I put old faithful in the left side and the replacement screen was placed in the...

    Rainbow Screen of Death

I added a second SV-1000 to my panel and when I fired it up for the first time it only showed numerous colors of lines on the screen. I turned it off and on again and it was the same thing. I called Dynon and they told me that it must have been a bad screen and as expected they replaced it no...

    Starting With Dynon On

    >...when you say "EMS pin connected directly to the starter cable"...do you mean you've connected a pin to the big fat cable that runs from the starter contactor to the starter itself? That'd be....very bad. That line will see a VERY large current during starting, so that wire is going to go...
