FWIW: GPS altitude is best for not hitting objects that are on the Earth's surface. Baro Altitude (Altimeter) is best for not hitting other flying aircraft.

FWIW; Dynon can't have a procedure for this since they can't control static source location(s) on every airplane. Only the builder can control this.

^^^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^^^ FWIW: After over 500hrs with my SkyView I have found that if I use this method my engine is at almost the exact same setting as if I had used all the "fancy" EMS numbers. So I no longer even try to use any of the "fancy" EMS methods and just use the old fashion way...

AFAIK, no. Autonomous mode is only available on 978MHz units, the DYNON is a 1090MHz device.

FWIW: I have had that exact MP sensor mounted on the engine side of the firewall since 2012 and 550hrs with absolutely no problems.

I replaced my "old" spade connectors with the same ones Steveden did. After 200+ hrs, I have not had any problem with my EGT's. YMMV

Not sure about WingX but FltPlanGO can use the DYNON GPS position so I know the data is being sent via WIFI. But you have to use the "CUSTOM > PORT 4000" setting within FLtPlanGO. Does WingX have a "Custom" or "Generic" input setting? Maybe you need a different setting within WingX.

IMHO... If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!! ESPECIALLY in aviation.

It doesn't affect the sensors. It affects the EMS module which causes the system to display a false EGT value. The actual sensors and EGT values are fine. You can send the EMS module back to Dynon and they can fix the problem.

Can anyone tell me what the message “ADS-B NO RADAR means? I am seeing this on a Dynon Skyview HDX, in the lower right hand corner of the map. FWIW this was asked on another forum but I thought this forum was more appropriate.

Or use some opaque tape to cover it. Either way will work. If you use a resistor, use a variable resistor to figure out the actual resistance you need. Then replace the variable resistor with a fixed one of the correct value. Easier than trial and error.
