To close the loop on this. For the GX60 to work on SkyView, you must have a POS1 position source connected to SkyView. Preferably the SV-GPS-250 or the SV-GPS-2020. The GX60 as the sole GPS connected to SkyView does not give us enough information for the HSI to work.

It also contains some deep system level files that our system unpacks and processes them into what we call sessions that contain all sorts of logged system data along with logs of all the serial data in and out of the system. Most aren't human readable and takes the engineers to sort through.

Lon, You were correct in your assumptions in that the new serial number doesn't get written to the config file. I have had to edit a few files to plug the serial number in manually and presto. You must have forced a rewrite by multiple reboots and solved it. Good Job!

It is powered by the 8 volt bus out of the display, it will die on aircraft power. A few tried it and it worked for a while, but die it did.

I thought I would update everyone on the USB thumb drive issue that many have discovered. I was told today they have it fixed and it will be out in version 16.
