If I didn't already have a couple of these I would buy it. They're rock solid reliable; way better than stratux in my experience. If no one takes it here I suggest advertising it on the Avare forum; the DRX works great for Avare.

There seems to be a dearth of video guidance on usage of A/P on approach with these. I've been flying a HDX 650 for a couple years and still don't feel as comfortable as I should be with it.

Perhaps the new GPS antenna will be a replacement of the current antenna rather than an additional one.

I had that same issue (I think) when I updated. I have a 7 and a 10 HDX. They take different firmware. I got the message "Incompatable Software Version" What worked for me was just shutting down both screens then upon booting reloading the HDX with the issue.

According to the updated user manual I just read, this is normal expected behavior for non-Dynon com radios.

I typically run 121.5 on my Dynon com. If I use the auto tune feature within some distance of destination, is there an option to reset to 121.5 on startup for the next flight?

No, it's not agl. It's MSL or above standard elipsoid. Comparing various pics in flight I see it's typically 100-400 higher than the altitude displayed on the HDX.

Guessing you're familiar with the Dynon emergency glide feature. I really liked the old anywhere map pro version of what you describe. It drew an arc in front of the plane representing the point you would impact the ground and it was phenomenally accurate.
