    Garmin GPS 175 Installation

    It depends on what functionality you want. See attached Garmin wiring diagram. For ADI, a GAD29 isn‘t required. However, if you want both ADI and an HSI the GAD29 is required. Finally, if you want the GPS175 to communicate with Skyview you with need the Dynon SV-ARINC-429 module.

    Garmin GPS 175 Installation

    I believe that I tied both the GAD29 and Skyview ARINC wires into the GPS175. Since I used 24 awg wire this would allow both wires to be crimped into the dsub pin at the GPS175 connector. I am traveling now and unable to access my wiring diagram. Upon my return I will confirm the installation.
