Better yet, an option to honor the light sensor, or not.

    Backup battery isn't working

If I recall, the BU battery will keep power to the screens on low voltage only if it detects airspeed. Others had issues with it not turning off because airspeed was detected, though sitting in a hangar.

    10" Skyview touch problems

Haven't seen that issue. Sounds like a call/email to Dynon support is in order.

    SkyView Classic bearing pointers

Responses so far assume you have the 530W feeding the Skyview via the Dynon ARINC-429 (somewhere behind the panel), along with a serial connection. Check your serial inputs for the correct configuration. As mentioned, the Pilot guide will explain how to set things up. You can also watch the...

    SkyView Backup Battery Bypass

When one of my legacy 1000T screen failed to boot (RSOD), no combination of button pushing would resolve it AND the transponder would not work.

Others have used non-Dynon adapters with success but that information was on the old forum. The search function might find the thread(s).

New gremlin and I'm stumped! No trim??

The trim relays are inside the AP Panel. If that power is removed, you'll have no trim. Your trim CB supplies the power to the AP Panel for trim and allows pass-through functionality regardless of EFIS/AP power.

New gremlin and I'm stumped! No trim??

Sounds like a loose connection at the AP Panel. Check for a recessed pin or weak wire.

    SV-OAT-340 wiring question

As stated in my previous post, yes, you can splice regular 22g wire. Nothing wrong with soldering and heat shrink, though butt splicing is much faster (assuming you have the correct crimper). I only use solder sleeves for grounding the shield on shielded wire, which is their primary purpose. Not...

    SV-OAT-340 wiring question

Yes, you can just splice into the middle with some 22g wire. You can source the molex pins but you'll need to get the PN or order them from Dynon. No shielding required. I would solder them, if possible.

    Level button in simplified mode

Dynon posted on another thread they expect the release to be out early January. The release notes would be the place to look, when available.

    Level button in simplified mode

The level button on the AP Panel only works in advanced mode but you can wire in a separate level button on pin 28 of the 37 pin connector. This might be something that is improved in the next release, so I'd wait a couple weeks and see if they made a change.

    SV-COM Memory?

AFAIK, the SV-COM has no memory, other than the current and STBY frequencies. It relies on the EFIS memory/database for information.

IFD 440 vs 540 with Skyview

Beautiful panel! I'm planning a similar upgrade to my RV-7A next year. Dual 10" HDX with IDF-440 and PS Engineering audio panel. Selling my current 10" Touch screens to a friend and will install them in his YAK-52.

    Very noisy radio

Check the antenna cable for continuity between the center conductor and shielding (BNC shell) with the cable disconnected at both ends. Also make sure you have continuity from center to center and both BNC connectors.

    GPS 2020 problems?

Garmin specifies 6" separation between GPS antennas in the G3X manual. I've seen many that are like @airguy with no issues. Page 23-5 rev AM. To minimize the effects of shadowing at 5° elevation angles, the GPS antenna should be mounted no closer than 6 inches (edge to edge) from other...
