    Checklist using Open Office

It didn't like the blank line. Try the new version. Just click on the link in my message above and it will install the new version. I didn't spend a lot of time on the program so didn't do any documentation. To save new users some time, File->New will create a new checklist with the Header...

    Trim indication - EMS220

There is a bit of documentation here about hand editing the EMS gauges: CUSTOMIZING THE EMS GAUGES A quick way to change the EGT/CHT gauge is to export your settings and look for a file with a .dfg extension. You can open it with a text editor. Windows WordPad works. Search for a section...

    Trim indication - EMS220

Have a look at page 13-3 and 13-4 VP-X Settings of the Skyview installation manual. The trim has to be set to VP-X but you still need to do the calibration. I use mine for a cowl flap position and it doesn't show the aileron part of it. See lower right corner. Cowl flap is up.

    Checklist using Open Office

Yes. I used Microsoft Visual C# 2010 Express on Windows 7 Professional to produce the program. Antivirus' are always going to complain about an executable file called setup.exe and will not like the installed program unless you tell it it to exclude it from scans. Windows Defender (Microsoft's...

    Checklist using Open Office

Eric Try this program: Checklist Editor Use the "Import Text File" menu item to read your text file. The program will save in Skyview checkList format. Give it a new name when you save it and then you can use the "Open" menu item to open and modify it. You can open any checklist in Skyview...

    Checklists

I second the option of marking the checklist item even if it's just to highlight the line with the cursor as I go thru the list.

    autopilot -- stick shaker?

Good point DS and Jake. I do a lot of xcountry. On approach to my home airport the sight picture is familiar. An unfamiliar 3000'  x 75' runway looks about the same as a 6000' x 150' runway from half the distance. On approach the 500' audio annunciation is a nice reminder of how I'm doing...

    V14.05 report

I installed 14.0.6 and put on 12+ AP hours with no hitches. :) My SV fits the Technical Service Bulletin for ver 14.0. http://dynonavionics.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1456887931/5#5 Waiting for 14.1 before I update again.

    autopilot -- stick shaker?

I gave the MDA a try. It's useful as you can set it to whatever minimums you want, but a couple squawks. It's not automatic. You have to set it up every time you use it. The Garmin 500' warning happens automatically on approach to any airport. The MDA setting also is forgotten at shutdown...

    autopilot -- stick shaker?

I finally got a couple of chirps out of my AOA audio today on a tough landing 25G35. I also seen on another post that the start of the AOA audio can happen at different positions on the AOA display. I probably have it starting on the yellow/red border. :-[

Skyview flashing then blows 5A fuse

I think you are correct. Skyview (and the rest of the system) is drawing more than the charger is outputting when you have the master on. VP-X shows a draw of 4-5A with just the master switch on when the SV battery is low. I switch my charger to 6A when I want to charge the Dynon backup battery...

    autopilot -- stick shaker?

I do get other audio from Skyview and checked to make sure that AOA audio was on. The AOA display also works. I just checked through my screenshots and see that it loses a few bars at lower speeds. Maybe I should spend some time on it again. Good excuse to go flying. ;)

    autopilot -- stick shaker?

Audio warnings work well for me although I've never heard the AOA audio ever. I've calibrated it a couple of times, but I think it needs more work. I do pay attention to the flaps overspeed warning and the 500 foot announcement on approach. Perhaps an audio warning when the plane is at or below...

Aircraft Re-Wire Using Dynon Gear Help Needed!!!

Good planning will keep the problems upgrading to a minimum. Asking questions is a good start. Depends on your mission and your risk tolerance. I'm VFR only. I have electronic ignition and fuel injection so electrical power is important but I kept it simple. Single battery and single...

    EMS-220 - Pull-Up Resistance

    V14.05 report

Looks like my screen fits the Technical Service Bulletin for ver 14.0. I installed version 14.0.5.3594 and took a couple of half hour flights but no lockups or anything out of the ordinary. I have a 6 hour xcountry coming up next week and will capture some diagnostics if it happens. Single 10"...

    iPad Pro plus SV WIFI

Has anyone looked at the new 12.9 inch iPad Pro. Add SV WIFI and a subscription to Foreflight and you have a second (larger) PFD run from Skyview's ADAHRS. Mount it in the back or on the right and let your copilot do the navigating using flight plan transfer. ;)
