A few issues with my Skyview HDX system.

Yes, revisit and test according to the list I provided.

A few issues with my Skyview HDX system.

Not sure about point 1. Point 2 is almost certainly a connector issue. Are these SV NET cables yours or Dynon ones? If you can, send the cable from the ADAHRS directly to the screen, and then the screen to the hub. At least then the ADAHRS-Screen is one connection only at each end. Point 3...

    Network Status Error

I have seen this kind of warning on a few systems, and recently I had a serial port to the ADSB In receiver go offline. It seems there is a communications bug, that once corrected by a reboot is all fine. Fortunately this happens at start up. So it might be you have a pin problem, but maybe not.

Replacement ADAHRS installed, configured and "Ready" but "Not Detected"

I have not wired or mucked around with the factory RV12 system but it would be easy enough to find a 5 way hub that is likely behind the instrument panel. You might be able to tell which cable runs from the tail cone to the front that way. Simply disconnect things, then do as Don suggested...

    Nits & Picks

Make sure the AoA Audio is set up to suit your aircraft and the tone settings are suitable (read the manual for the changes you can make to optimise it) and then you will not look back! Also give yourself 20-30 hours flying behind it. You will soon find over that time that your eyes will see...

    lean mode sky view ems

Corefile and everyone else reading......Great question! The answer : No, absolutely not! The science of combustion is not altered one bit. In fact be it a Briggs and Stratten mower engine or a CW3350 it is all the same. What is different on a carby is there are no injectors to alter the F/A...

    lean mode sky view ems

You are mostly correct. However you want to know the last one to peak from the rich side (or first to peak from the lean side), and then lean from there. Lest do a virtual flight in a NA airplane. Take off, full rich WOT/Max RPM. Climb at Vy x 1.32 or Vz Target EGT should typically be 1300dF...

    GPS POSITION LOST

Where is the antenna mounted? I have seen GARMIN GTN navigators fail due to other antenna close by, and even Dynon units affected by other GPS or 4G/5G devices too close to the antenna. Can be many things. GPS signals are weak and easily affected. It is possible to have a hardware fault for...

    EMS - EGT Difference

That is exactly what you want is it not, to make it easy to discern an outlier? Either a faulty plug, lead or some ignition related defect, as well as a partially blocked fuel injector? The DIFF function will not alert you if your error does not exceed a limit, and that limit is variable based...

    EMS - EGT Difference

John..........as per your comment above, you may not have actually understood what the normalise function does. Trust me please, along with my colleagues John Deakin, George Braly, Walter Atkinson and Andrew Denyer in Advanced Pilot Seminars engine management training classes, we have learned a...

    EMS - EGT Difference

John......You can disagree all you like, but the JPI function that you should be using for that is actually NOMALISE mode, not the DIFF function. ;-) One day we will get that in a SV release......Its only been 10 years of asking

    EMS - EGT Difference

The DIFF function really has no useful purpose, because your typical plug failure is yielding only a 75dF rise. So it would only work if there was say 130dF difference to start with. What the diff function was useful for was using it on a carby engine, and using carb heat to bring the EGT...

    Auto pilot pitches down

Unfortunately the engineer who solved the bug and did the AP development, has moved into a new aerospace consulting job, after almost 20 years at Dynon. So I cant refer you to him. Maybe email Don Jones at the support email address and ask. I can only hope that the new release will be out...

freq problem with skyview and V16 radio

You need to sniff the serial port and watch the data coming out. Maybe the radio is screwing it up? This is just me, but I prefer pushing the numbers in "digitally", not serially. I hope you get my attempt at humour :-) but I do prefer and find it easier to do that. Maybe that is in your future?

    Flight Planner & EFB

For IFR flying your plan really needs to be in the GTN, and this will crossfire to the SV system by itself. I am not aware of any apps that will force a plan into the GTN. The newer GTN product I think has that ability, but so far I have not explored that option. Not sure what the law requires...

    VNAV with skyview HDX

David is an Australian....by nature, we are far more blunt than most others, just ask any US serviceman who has worked with us "upside down Americans :-) ) So it is very easy for my bluntness or straight to the point written text to be read by someone willing to be offended, to be easily...

    Need Kavlico Fuel Pressure Sensor

And when Dynon have plenty of the new replacement buy one of those new units, not the current one.

    VNAV with skyview HDX

Well it is visible on the screen..........IF it is accurately depicted in the database. Have you ever flown past something in VMC and not seen it depicted on the database? Probably not. But I have, so it can happen. I am not being hysterical. Some people, including your comments suggest that...

    compass errors

My French is rather average too. Besides usual greetings and counting to 10. Download the Installation guide and have a read of that. It will be much better than trying to understand us folk who use english poorly :)
