SV Ver 15 Pitot/Static test not seeing stby ADAHRS

I know the network detects both ADAHRS. I don't remember the "COMPARE" option when I went to the ADAHRS selection page. Only the primary one as "ONLINE SELECTED" and the second displayed but "OFFLINE", I think. When I get back home ill check it out in more detail.

SV Ver 15 Pitot/Static test not seeing stby ADAHRS

Dynon, I will be needing my IFR cert on my Pitot/Static this month so I thought I would try the new feature for this. "New: Pitot/Static test mode that elmiminates the need for display restarts during transponder checks. Available via SETUP MENU > HARDWARE CALIBRATION > ADAHRS CALIBRATION >...

A/P switched from NAV to TRK

I also have a Garmin 430W and will occasionally see the loss of data from the 430W for a brief second. I have seen this with pre-version 15, but not on version 15 yet. I just upgraded this week. But since the latest version of 14.xx. I still see the blinking out of data but not the A/P change...

    SkyView EMS Tach Inputs

Thank you! That makes sense. I will move my tach signals to the Hi V inputs... KR

    SkyView EMS Tach Inputs

No external zener installed.  There is one internal, 12V.  Direct wiring to the SV EMS.  I am surprised the SV has such a low input impedance.   I was expecting at least 1 M Ohm.  Before I dig into behind the panel to change to the High V inputs or build a Tach distribution amplifier would like...

    SkyView EMS Tach Inputs

Dynon, I am wondering what the input impedance is on the "Low Voltage" tach inputs on the SV-EMS. I have dual P-Mags with SV connected to the Tach signals which outputs 12 V signal. When I connect to the SV the Tach signal drops to ~5V. The P-Mag has an output pull up of 4.8K ohm to 12V...

    V15 -ADS-B to Naviator

V15 new feature. >"ADS-B Traffic and Weather from SkyView’s SV-ADSB-470 is now transmitted via Wi-Fi for use by 3rd party apps (FlyQ, Foreflight, etc)" Has anyone tried the Wi-Fi ADS-B link to Naviator (Android)? Thanks, Kurt N122KR - Glasair Super II RG, SV 1000T.

    ADSB traffic ghosting

I also experienced the ghosting from Western Louisiana (Alexandria) into East Texas (Cedar Creek) yesterday afternoon. I saw myself as traffic about 1 mile north of my position and on a few occasions I saw other traffic was duplicated, looking like two aircraft in formation. Ill send a note to...

    SV TACH time

Dear Dynon I recently changed my TACH CRUISE RPM setting and once I landed and recorded my TACH time in my paper log I noticed the TACH TIME was incorrect, at a old setting. My question is: when entering the engine settings page is the CURRENT TACH TIME pre-loaded into the setting or is it the...

Dynon and Advanced Oshkosh 2016 News

Dynon, I see with the HDX with version 15.0 the engine gauges can be displayed on the bottom, full width. Is this an option on the non-HDX models? ie. 10" touch. Thanks,

    SV ADS-B traffic anomally?

Dear Dynon, Yesterday during an IFR flight from Tampa, Fl. to Fort Worth, TX I noticed two traffic displays anomalies at different times. First, was "Displaced" labeled under the target. The second was a target's label toggling between "1200" and "VFR". Both of these occurred between FL...

    Engine cooling pressure

    Bob, Sorry I had an error in my calibration calculation. Should be y = 8.919080x - 1.783816 sensor={ id=MPX DIFF PRESSURE ;UN-VERIFIED function=PRESSURE pins=C37_P8 C37_P22 C37_P23 C37_P31 name=DIFF PR min_val=0 max_val=40 resolution=0...

    Engine cooling pressure

Bob, For the MPX sensor you provided the calibration is y = 0.112119x + 0.200000 to give EU's output in "Inches or Water". So create a new sensor definition like: sensor={ id=MPX DIFF PRESSURE ;UN-VERIFIED function=PRESSURE pins=C37_P8 C37_P22 C37_P23 C37_P31...

    Engine cooling pressure

Bob, This looks like it will work. It outputs ~0 to 5V, but it requires 5 volt excitation. So you will have to get that from some place. Needs to be mounted, designed for a Printed Circuit Board. Calibration is no problem. If your not planning on installing this permanently then there are...

    Fluctuating Manifold Pressure

On My Glasair with a LYC IO360 I have been using a brass 1/8 NPT fitting on the #3 Cyl. This fitting I sealed completely closed by soldering it shut with a propane torch. Then drilled a #60 hole thru the solder. By having the orifice near the engine allows the tubing between this and the MP...

    MAP adjustment

Andrieu, To modify your sensor calibration you need to modify your .sfg file. Export current file and edit using Notepad. Save new file with new unique name. You will need to import the new file back into SV once modification is complete. The current MAP sensor cal is defined as: sensor={...

    Complete System Failure In Flight

I had the A/P autonomously change from GPSS to Track on my SV touch with Garmin 430W driving the flight plan. I am seeing the same thing on my SV touch with Garmin 430W driving the flight plan. I notice the magenta needle (HSI display) and data fields blanks out for a second or two and re-appears as if nothing happened. I have seen this since I installed in 2014. On today's flight (6hrs flying time)...

    Security Code

Having password protection on setup items like your "N" number sounds like a great idea for this. If your system is stolen having the rightful owners "N" number sent out on the mode S transponder is a perfect way of getting caught.
