That pin is really designed for use as a very low current excitation power for sensors, not for device/module power. It only supplies .08A, so the -472 pulls more than it can provide. The -472 should be connected to ship's power.

You want to use the serial port with that radio, not the ARINC. See page 4-30 in the installation guide for the connection and setup instructions.

There's an on/off toggle in the audio setup. It will throw a "flaps overspeed" audible alert when you have more than 5 degrees of flaps out beyond Vfe.

I don't have a copy of the app handy, but the D2 uses the mini-G format. Is there an option for that?

Does your headset microphone have an adjustable gain screw?

A lot depends on the exact RF nature in the install, but in some, the energy from one transmitting radio can break squelch in the other. Some radios have a squelch inhibit function (the C25 does not), and some audio panels have one (the intercom does not.). The intercom doesn't have the ability...

If it's an experimental install, no problem. The GPS-251 outputs NMEA at 9600 baud. If an STC'd installation - that kind of connectivity is outside of the scope of the STC, and so you really can't do it.

If we're talking about the purple bars that can show up on the map only - and only when you have weather on - those are areas of the map that haven't received NEXRAD data. The D180 doesn't really have any programmable/renamable inputs, unlike SkyView, where you can make a bar/dial/digit/widget out of anything with a variable 0-5VDC voltage output.

I usually keep a copy of the PDFs of both the installation and user guide on my phone and tablet, and then use the find feature of the pdf reader to hunt down the relevant info when at the plane.

We only currently have plans to bring SkyView HDX to type certificated aircraft.

On the HSI mode not working - HSI mode is only available if the HSI has a valid navigation direction. IE, a CDI from SkyView's flight plan, some other GPS, or a NAV radio. If both HSI and TRK are not available, that would likely mean that there's something up with your GPS position source(s).

I don't think we've seen any heat-related issues that are so specific. But a momentary grounding of the disconnect line would definitely cause this, and the disconnect wiring would be the first place to start here. If you export your user data logs to a USB stick, there is an alerts data log...
