    D2: function without GPS ?

The Trutrak ADI has limitations and dependencies of its own. It's definitely an interesting and useful instrument, but it also has an external dependency on your static and pitot ports. It also isn't an attitude indicator. "Pitch" is really vertical speed, with a short term reaction to pitch...

Fluctuating amp gauge on EMS d10

So one thing you can do is disconnect the amps shunt signal wires from the shunt, and connect them to each other to test whether there's something up with the EMS. Here is some history of various flavors of the problem with explanations.

    Auto Pilot

Hi Eddie - We had our wires crossed here (we try to get back to every email within a day, and we took longer than that in this case). It looks like you've got a dialog going with our support team now. Sorry for the delay.

    Auto Pilot

Hi Eddie - I see a note that we talked to you on the phone this afternoon. If that's not the case, let us know - we may have inadvertently mistook another customer for you.

SV autopilot losing the GS if to fast...

If by "lose the GS lock" you mean that the servos are slipping that is annunciated by SkyView, then that needs to be resolved by either torque setting, or, if it's already turned to 100%, with either mechanical changes to the installation or a larger servo. If it just doesn't seem to be tracking...

    Pitch slip

Steve - The trim up / down features aren't tied to the calibration, but we have improved the trim detection behavior over time. What version of software are you on? If the latest, we it might indicate an issue with the servo. Eddie - same question for you.

    logging data retrieval

There are columns for zulu hour, min, secnod, day, etc. But the time will only be right if the unit has had a GPS lock from which to sync to, or you can manually set it (in which case it will remain until all power is lost, which if you have the internal battery isn't really a concern)

    Red Background on Map

It's really a NOTAM that we suspect is broadcast over the ADS-B system because it has to do with ADS-B availability. However, it shouldn't be depicted as a TFR (there is no flight restriction). But to really analyze this and get a fix in, we really need to see a diagnostic log from someone who...

    upgrade path

The AF lines of products have that capability. The AF series doesn't yet talk to the SkyView EMS module (though it will soon), so that's one way of getting EMS information into those products. We don't currently have plans to add that capability to SkyView.

    Calibration fuel - Dynon converters

And just to follow up, that EI part has a frequency (square wave) output. SkyView can only read a 0-5V variable voltage output, where the voltage itself is the signal. SkyView is not compatible with that EI converter.

D100 Autopilot Disconnects Nav Mode when transmit

The NMEA goes out in the blind, so your capture won't be dependent on what you're doing with the D100 or AP.

    wiring EGT-CHT terminal choice

The spade connectors, if not well-crimped, tend to be an area where EGT and CHT connections loosen up. It didn't help that for a time a while back we had some quality problems with these connectors as well. So they're OK for the connection, if well-crimped, but some people like to change them out.

Altitude wrong, no VS menu item on left joystick

The first issue can be calibrated out using the ALTITUDE OFFSET feature under SETUP > HARDWARE CALIBRATION. If it changes from flight to flight though, there might be an issue with the altimeter sensor in the ADAHRS. For VS, check whether VS bug is turned on under PFD>BUGS.

    Calibration fuel - Dynon converters

So the fuel level gauges do have some filtering to even out sloshing. Now, assuming you have SkyView - we've improved them over time, as you can see in the update notes for both the sensor definitions themselves and SkyView software. So first, make sure you have the latest software, and the...

    upgrade path

To be clear: SkyView and the D120 do not talk at all. So you can essentially keep your D120 for your EMS if you'd like, and then use SkyView for EFIS and autopilot. The AP74 is not compatible with SkyView, but as Jake says, there is the SV-AP-PANEL that has both dedicated AP controls and an...

    D2: function without GPS ?

We're not trying to mislead here. The D2 DOES need an external aiding source (GPS), as do ALL robust and reliable MEMS-based attitude indicators that actually work (including every ADAHRS in every Cirrus/Cessna/G1000/etc). SkyView and our other EFIS systems use airspeed primarily with GPS as a...

Once it's up, you'll see the current, min and max Gs on the three line items. One caveat - if you have a taildragger, you might see .9 when on the...

    simpler cheaper D3?

Realize that most of the features that the D2 has are inherent in the electronic hardware platform. In other words, the D1/D2 need GPS, the accelerometers, and rate sensors that let it display some other things that the D2 can. So there isn't really any hardware cost to pull out there for a...
