The VHF Comms frequencies are in the 118.00 to 136.00 range anything outside that is for other uses eg in the case of the lower ones they arefor VOR, LOC & ILS etc. So as you have just a Com you will not be able to receive the ATIS frequencies you mentioned.
my input was due to the OP's last sentence ---- "I think I am not getting anything from the EMS 220, all my sensors are directly connected, I do get voltage reading though from somewhere.. ;)
The only connection for EMS data from the EMS module to Skyview is via the network cable (9 pin dsub) are you saying the sensors are connected directly to Skyview ? IF so then make up (or buy) a network cable (it's in the manual) , female to female 9 pin dsub connectors pins in parallel but...

I'd change the probe type (in menu settings) so it reads what's expected, I don't remember off hand, without ready access to the manual, what it's supposed to be.
Scaling only applies to Gps/RNAV approaches.
A selected ILS frequency will give the required sensitivity for the approach which is different to the VOR (enroute portion) freq.
Leaving the avionics off (includes Transponder) is an industry wide practice that goes back decades, why would you do any different now especially considering the issues appear to be voltage 'sag' related ?
