    actually, Dynon has been shipping some different (black) backshells with larger diameter (at the end) thumbscrews, not sure if that's the change DS mentioned.

    Simple, more effective solution - slip a short length of Tubing (like Tygon) over the screws ;)

    Whatever works for you is good ;). I use the amp spades without any issues after 200 hrs & 99.5% of the 36 installs I've done use the same spades too without 'issues - just saying ;)

    You're on the case there except the spade ( male) connector (AMP brand) is the one to use, AS&S don't have them just the female ones (probe side) ;)

    Simply, yes  ;) You connect 1 430W serial port directly to the Dynon Transponder (with 1.21koHm resistor in series) & allocate the port as Garmin ADSB +.  Make sure you have the suitable Garmin software installed. Jake J Glasair IIS- FT 1994

    That's a sassy way of connecting it  ;D ;D - Seriously though, simply, the 'power' wires have a very low millivolt reading when the circuit is 'idle' (the circuits come alive when loaded) -that's also why VP-X , with the light wired as you have it, I'd expect the light to come on sporadically. ...

    DS, this is yet another call out for ADSB 1090 IN.  The rest of the world uses it  :) As you know we don't have WX, Nexrad & XM available here (never will without paying huge amouts for it, including the cost of equipment) etc, so it would be nice if you hurry up & do it  ;)
