My method is to have all the brown wires at equal length with the armored probe wire which is on the furtherest cylinder away from the firewall.
This makes ALL (grouped left & right side of engine) connections of the probe/brown wires easily swapped for troubleshooting (by swapping probe...
Whichever channel, usually 1, the wire from the Dynon is connected to the GTX 327 should be set to INPUT Icarus Alt - Then if the wiring is correct & you have format 4 set on Dynon then it will work ;)

Here's some ideas & IMO -
A. disconnect the static - for test purposes with a fast taxi or circuit it won't matter much & may give good info for troubleshooting.
B. If you can borrow a ASI then plumb it into the system, in parallel, then blow into the pitot tube carefully to see if the reading...
If you have the position wires already connected to the Vp-X then you can leave them there despite the fact you may have disabled the trim in the vp-X.
If using the Dynon AP Panel & wanting to use the auto trim feature then you need to connect the trim motor (2 wires) direct to it however the...
I've done 2 x 10's with the aircon & mounted the ADAHRS units on the 2nd bulkhead (close to top of fuselage) aft of the luggage bay panel, works well.

I've used a few of these, are not internally lit but do not need to be IMO. You should be able to get them at one of the suppliers like Digikey,

That will work as per Camit instructions, I've just installed one & works as advertised, you'll just have to change the PPR in the 180 from 6 to 2 ;)

Hi Eddie
Yes, I've seen this before but caused (not saying it happened with you) by a lot of 'handling' of the antenna & attached wiring loom. My method to mitigate this is to cut to wiring short (about 18") from the antenna as this then results in less strain on where the wires exit. Later on...
Yes, it's done quite often when connected from the Fuel Control Unit to Flow Divider on Fuel Injected Lycs. It's preferable to have it slightly off vertical at least, with the wires coming out of the 'top' side relative to the body.

The position output is internal so unuseable however adding a Ray Allen POS-12 sensor will give the output needed to display position on the Dynon. The FPS can still be used as planned as well.
Ps - IF you are using the VP-X system then do not use the FPS if you want the Vp-x Flap features...
FWIW I'd recommend against it as the
stroke is too short & although you may be able to use a bell rank to overcome that ANY free play would be magnified resulting in jerky readings, resistance values are too high s well.
Why not just buy the Ray Allen POS-12 ? It's available fro AS&S & others...
Many years ago AS&S had new colour version of the VM EMS on their website & listed for purchase, after some digging I found out these were not manufactured yet & subsequently never were.
I believe Dynon don't operate that way & will have the GPS 2020 available soon, be patient :) ;)

You just have to do better :D :D FWIW my initial air cal was about 125. Maybe it's the coriolis force up there :-*
Do you need an excuse to go fly ?
