I have heard that these are caused by ground stations not knowing for sure if same airplane or not and nothing you can do about it unless you get ADS-B out. Then your transmissions identify you so the ground stations don't have to guess a and those traffic icons should go away.

I am going from memory but there should be a 9 pin connector attached to the serial wires coming out of the 37 pin connector. The 25 pin connector is for the EGT/CHTs. On my harness I think the wires were orange, yellow and black. If the 9 pin connector is not attached to the serial out wires...

I think if the top line is yellow, it means there is a firmware update available for the transponder. Dont know if that will help or not with the traffic problem though.

I would guess you would get it, but it would show non-compliant with 2020 rules,. This assumes you also have a ADS-B capable transponder or UAT installed besides the ADS-B receiver.

Do you have the ".DUC" upgrade file installed in the root directory of the USB stick and have the USB stick plugged into a USB port on the Skyview?

On my Skyview, after I did the battery test, the "Battery test message" no longer showed up. Have you did the battery test yet? The other error kind of sounds like a wiring problem but dont know.

I could see the 13.03 update file on the USB stick with WiFi plugged in but not the FAA update file.  After I pulled the WiFi out, I could see both.   I will try it again with the upcoming FAA update.

Hi Tom, Do you also have the WiFi module plugged into another USB port at the same time?  My FAA database wont show if the WiFi module is plugged in.  Remove it and it shows fine.  The 13.0.3 update does show even with the WiFi module plugged in.

I have heard that you can put the A/P controller box behind the panel somewhere and just use it as an autotrim controller if you don't want to cut into your panel.
