    Calibrating the AoA System

IMO doing the ‘full’ calibration is best- never done less than that & it works, always 😉

    Flap widget upside down

I’d check the widget ‘ style’ in the EMS setup settings 😉

Adding Dynon AP to Flight Design CTLS with D100 and D120 units

I’d just use the Dynon Product Support Program & download software version 5.6.1 into the system, you should be good to go then 😉

Need advice about adding radios to HDX

    I’d use 2 x Dynon radios ( they are Trig units) & a PM3000 intercom - simple & easy 😉

Compass cal / winds aloft error

That was just general info - your case is very different, I still think it’s to do with the network cable being alongside the battery cables. Is there any way you can move just the network cable and email me a photo of that area ?

Compass cal / winds aloft error

Yes, do it & mix up the turns while doing so. Follow the on screen instructions & number count needs to be over 100, I prefer to get it around 125 - then you’re good to go :)

Compass cal / winds aloft error

"all wiring to/from the battery runs down the keel of the plane." "hopefully tomorrow try to recalibrate". Will report back. --- that may? work however there could be causes that make that difficult. So does the SV network cable run with the battery cables for any length ? FYI re O.A.T. - I'd...

Compass cal / winds aloft error

"As soon as I start the engine the compass swings, and stablizes. Turn on the alternator and another swing, but stablizes on the "new" heading. " Hopefully you tested outside of the hangar, all bets are off otherwise.;) Did you do a ground calibration with all systems on (those you always...

    SV-Com-C25 Receiving but not transmitting

Darrin, trust but verify - I have seen examples of pre made wiring looms not done properly, & by well known companies - maybe they don't pay well enough &/or the looms are not bussed out before shipping. Looks like that's your job now .

    SV-Com-C25 Receiving but not transmitting

Darrin - without seeing how you physically wired it it’s hard to diagnose however I’d double check that the mic HI wire is connected to the jack correctly. Can you post a picture of the mic jack wiring ?

You could load this & change the relevant sensor/data changes needed for the 914 https://forum.flydynon.com/threads/starting-setups-from-dynon-for-major-engine-types.11579/

    GPS not found

Maybe the antenna has been damaged due stress on where the 4 wires exit the base - I have seen that once. Could you 'borrow' another antenna to prove that theory ?

    ILS/RNAV

    Correct.

    ILS/RNAV

page 20 of the SL30 install manual will show you the serial connections (pins 3, 4 & 5) you need to the Dynon. You need to configure the SL for serial output or none ( not sure which however most likely - None) . Been a while since I’ve installed an SL 😉.

    oil pressure sensor signal loss

Ok, a suggestion- check the female pin in the EMS D37 is not retracted & redo the solder joints. Are they solder sleeve type or just plain soldered ?

    37-pin Split Cable

I've been using the 5 x 25way 'Hubs' that were available from Maker Plane - except for pwr/gnd & USB cable each screen connects to the hub separately with other inputs/outputs going to various devices. I find this is much simpler & easier for troubleshooting with a multimeter.

Flaps Overspeed warning on G forces

Without any 'sensor' involved you can't do that, unlike Flap Overspeed which has a sensor (potentiometer) that gives a position change (depending on configuration) which then enables the 'Overspeed' warning.
