    My comment was basically for the benefit of others here, RG 58 (old standard) is soooo yesterday’s technology - now that the higher standard cabling is available & avionics are more ‘sensitive’ it’s the reason that you shouldn’t ( & not allowed, I think) use it in certified aircraft anymore. :)

    In other words ..... RG400 coax or equivalent. Anything else in an airframe that is not totally aluminium will mostly be a waste of time & money, especially ‘our’ time ;)

    Maybe you're referring to the inline resistor from a certified Gps (eg Avidyne) to the Dynon Transponder (pin3) RX input ?

    dlloyd, From my experience it is most likely related. I know my cell phone affects my autopilot (other brand) & the type of USB charger has an impact too. Why not ry turning your phone off for a few flights & note the difference in systems performance, if any ? ;)

    As an FYI - those filters are not the total answer for us 'downunder' so I'd suggest people from here do not shell out the bucks until either Dynon chimes in or the stated software fix ? is done.

    Peter, Not sure what you're asaying about the Flap Trim not connected to the EMS - if they are not wired to the EMS then of course they will be 'greyed out'. Widgets - did you check the EMS SETUP - SENSOR INPUT MAPPING page ? that needs to show what you have connected to the D37 & D25 pins. If...

    Re: Basic ADS-B question Skyview They are TX, RX & serial ground. For Icarus Alt into the GTX I’d just use the TX (from Dynon port) to RX of the GTX & connect the serial ground to the Dynon ground. Remember to configure the serial ports on both units. ;)

    DS - correct. If a customer has an Auto Pilot Panel then I use it & then I use 1 x VpX circuit to power it only. If no SV A/Pilot panel fitted then I use the VPX trim system - it's either 1 or the other but not both ;)

    Yes. Also save the calibration info, photo or screen shot. IF for any reason that there is a problen then at least you have the data, which can be re entered without having to do another cal.

    Some Whelen, & other, types have "shielDing" just for that reason - you don't need to see them in the cockpit.

    Just a thought - Why not just use some well placed tape over the strobe lens to minimise the affect on the screen ? ;) I’ve used that method occasionally, with good results.
