    INCORRECT CARB TEMP

Graham I'd change the probe type (in menu settings) so it reads what's expected, I don't remember off hand, without ready access to the manual, what it's supposed to be.

Upgrading to EMS D-120. Will these work?

    1. Unsure as I've never seen one of these, try it out anyway - can't hurt. 2. Flowscan - no problem there. 3. Same as for 1.

    D100 HSI scale indicator

Scaling only applies to Gps/RNAV approaches. A selected ILS frequency will give the required sensitivity for the approach which is different to the VOR (enroute portion) freq.

    XPDR Caution

Leaving the avionics off (includes Transponder) is an industry wide practice that goes back decades, why would you do any different now especially considering the issues appear to be voltage 'sag' related ?

    XPDR Caution

Personally I don't care in the end as to cause as long as the issue is fixed permanently ;) - I can understand the 'need to know' but I don't have the time to go there :)

    Dynon radio

    I'd check the ph/mic wiring, carefully ;)

    XPDR Caution

Hi Steve, It still appears to be power related IMO, I've seen this problem before (one other aircraft) & leaving avionics off until after start fixed the issue. In his case the Hex code sometimes changed (WTF) ;) So I would strongly recommend you somehow leave the Transponder power off until...

    Serial connectors

actually, Dynon has been shipping some different (black) backshells with larger diameter (at the end) thumbscrews, not sure if that's the change DS mentioned.

    Serial connectors

Simple, more effective solution - slip a short length of Tubing (like Tygon) over the screws ;)

    EGT and CHT indication

Whatever works for you is good ;). I use the amp spades without any issues after 200 hrs & 99.5% of the 36 installs I've done use the same spades too without 'issues - just saying ;)

    EGT and CHT indication

You're on the case there except the spade ( male) connector (AMP brand) is the one to use, AS&S don't have them just the female ones (probe side) ;)

    GNS430W instead of GPS-2020

Simply, yes  ;) You connect 1 430W serial port directly to the Dynon Transponder (with 1.21koHm resistor in series) & allocate the port as Garmin ADSB +.  Make sure you have the suitable Garmin software installed. Jake J Glasair IIS- FT 1994
