Are you sure this was fuzzyness of the map and not a weather overlay. When no ADSB data coverage is available and weather display is selected a dark red is overlayed and that might look like a reduction in resolution. That woudl also match your description that while flying the 'fuzzy' part...

Would the Dynon system not send frequencies to the SL30 to tune the receiver? I I select on the Dynon to tune my receiver the updated frequency appears on the SL30 as standby doesn't that mean Dynon sends this information via the serial interface?

This screen seems to indicate that there is no correct communication ongoing between the SL30 and the Dynon. You woudl expect to see TX and RX counters different from zero and an indicated number of good sentences. Sentence errors and group errors are an indication that there is something wrong...

I used the nylon screws for the ADHRS. I went with non-magenetic crews as the screws are more massive then the connector backshells, other option woudl be to use copper screws if you are concerned

probably AUTO SWITCH does not apply here as all the communication between the Dynon and the SL30 uses rs232 serial interface, there is no ARINC interface on the SL30
