This is from the Radenna website (SkyRadar): "SkyRadar outputs data in industry standard GDL-90 format." My SkyRadar has a USB port for connection to a tablet computer. A USB to RS-232 cable will work fine to put out serial. So, will Skyview support SkyRadar input data now or maybe later.

Is this a GDL-90 format device? If so, can Skyview use my Skyradar ADS-B receiver?

If you have side-by-side seating, I bet you will not be happy with the opposite side 7" screen. The text is too small to read. I have a 10" on pilot's side and a 7" on co-pilot's (wife's) side and she complains all the time. I can't read it at all from my side.

If you have the Dynon autopilot, you can set the altitude bug to the MDA and use the VSI bug to regulate the descent rate. Then you can't bust the altitude.

More precisely, things like VOR ID and frequency are ARINC on the 430.

For the 430, that data is supplied over ARINC-429. Are you equipped with the Dynon ARINC adapter? For the SL-30, that data is sent over serial.

Which USB input are you using? The one in the harness, or directly connected to the back of the screen, or on a cable extender plugged in to the back of the screen? Try inserting a USB stick with system files on it to the input that has given you trouble, then try a screen shot save. If it...

Bob, I think people are saying that the size of text/symbols etc on the 7" screeen needs work to be larger/clearer. Presumably, the processor in the 7" screen can make display choices independantly from the 10" screen. I agree that the 10" is fine right now.

All text on the 7" are too small to be read from the opposite seat in a side-by-side cockpit. The only way these tired eyes can see that text is to lean way over. If I sit in the right seat, it is still way too small to be comfortable. The 10" is excellent from either seat.

You are correct that the manuals are "up to date" with the S/W versions. Generally, they are the best I have seen. Intent was for some humor, but that is usually not a good idea in writing, unless one is a much better writer than I.
