Selecting Fly over vs turn anticipation for way points

I hope this is not a RTFM problem but here goes. I am looking to see if there is a way to set waypoints for fly over vs. enabling turn anticipation (turning to the next leg before the waypoint). I have read where the status is indicated in the flight plan, but nothing talking about how to...

    Winds Aloft fix???

I am waiting for this gets resolved before updating SW. At this rate, sounds like this is something to be taken up with Dynon at Oshkosh. In the past Dynon has been great, but it seems they are loosing focus.

    Network Bypass Adapter Question

I am guessing that you need to connect the skyview network cables back together. Standard DB 9 should work.

TRAFFIC .. TRAFFIC.. TRAFFIC.. Please shut up!

My major complaint about traffic callouts is that I get them while on approach based on ground traffic sitting on the taxiway queued to the runway. Not sure about your algorithm that initiates a traffic callout, but I would think stationary traffic on ground while I’m a mile out on approach...

Assuming that you are using the Dynon EMS, it will be powered by the HDX backup battery.

Can I see the map with no GPS source installed?

From a functional standpoint, without GPS the system doesn’t know where to put the map (your location). Time is synched to GPS so no GPS no initial time, Heading calibration uses GPS position to look up the magnetic local variation, so no GPS, the heading can’t be calibrated.

    Elevator Trim Indicator

Assuming that you are using the RAC trim servos, the position is measured from the center arm of a potentiometer, and has nothing to do with the motor input. The voltage across the arm when referenced to power or ground is the signal for trim position. If you have the reference backwards, the...

    Skyview SV-NET Cable

The cable is SAE AS or M-27500 series. I doubt Belden makes it. Different than plenum cable. If you google the spec you can find the type and conductor number you need. Dynon also tells you in the install manual how to make your own, but it will be missing the outer jacket. I can look up...

    Running Wires Together

General design guidance it to keep coax cables for transmitters and receivers separated as much as practical. even double screening does not limit 100% of the signal. A separation of 2-3 inches is desirable. If you have to follow the same path as other cables, stand the coax off of the other...

Differences between HDX and Classic worth the cost?

If not the touch screens, then the better knob feel is worth it. Also the engine display can be across the bottom.

I would suggest you contact Dynon support by email or phone. They are great, and this kind of failure usually gets their attention. You can email them and attach the file.

    Classic Skyview Wifi burp

I had a strange thing happen today with regards to the Skyview Wifi. It would not let anything connnect due to incorrect password. Except that the password has been in use for years, and I verified the password in setup. To get Skyview to let any device connect, I had to go into setup and...

    Percentage of Power bug

Once you have verified the setup, you can start by verifying that all of the required inputs are accurate. If MAP, OAT, RPM or Pressure Altitude are in error, the resultant % of power will be also. In particular the location of the OAT probe is important so that it isn’t seeing hot air from...

Own Ship Being Called Out As Traffic

In some ATC sectors, I have experienced some pretty odd behaviors around own ship showing up as traffic. In one case, traffic popped up 3 miles climbing and closing at my six and in class B airspace. When the traffic closed to 1 mile, I called ATC to report my evasive climb maneuver and they...
