    Kavlico pressure sensor connectors

It is interesting to note that this is NOT a standard Metri Pack 150, but per the Delphi drawing appears to be a special part to mate with certain pressure sensors. The connector does not appear in the Metri Pack catalogs, but can be found on the Delphi web site. Neither the pins or rear wire...

    Kavlico pressure sensor connectors

Thanks, I'll dig it up from there and post the pin numbers and crimp tool once confirmed. One can acquire different seal sizes for the connectors so I'll check that also.

    Kavlico pressure sensor connectors

Does anyone know the mating connector type/ part number so that I can get some pins. I want to run my wiring direct to the connector without splicing into the short length of wire supplied on the mating connector. This is for oil and fuel pressure on the Lycoming sensor kits. Thanks, Dan

    Pin connectors for OAT skyview

I tried a crimper carried by B&C speciality as BCT-1 which has the B crimp shape in 3 sizes. For the OAT I used the D cavity which is designed for AWG 20-22 and it worked perfectly. No distortion of the pin and passes a pull test. They give a perfect crimp. The crimpers are mfg by Sargent...

    Pin connectors for OAT skyview

Thanks to all for your responses. I'll update this thread on how it works out. Dan

    Pin connectors for OAT skyview

The wires were about 2x the required length so want to trim to length. Any model number or other spec on the Waldom crimper. It sounds just like I am looking for. at least cost wise anyhow.

    Pin connectors for OAT skyview

The Official Molex crimp tool for these pins is $200+ which is kind of expensive for 4 crimps (2 probes). Does anyone know of a suitable low cost crimper that will do the job.  I just hate soldering pins that are intended to be crimped. Dan

    Autopilot/Servo hard over possibility

Thanks for the info. It sounds like failures would be benign, and if something unpredicted happens that failures are not benign, G monitoring is a mitigating gate keeper for structural safety. Good thinking on Dynon's part. :)

    Autopilot/Servo hard over possibility

As I am installing my servos, I was wonderig what the maximum speed of the servos are and whether or not the pilot could stop a pitch hard-over before it became critical.  The Vans RV series airplanes are somewhat sensitive in pitch, and at cruise speeds one can easily exceed the structural...

    Approach "Not recieving Transponder recycle..."

I have some background in transponders. Ramp checks done by avioics shops do little to check antenna coverage. Coverage is the signal distribution throughout all directions and with the aircraft in varying attitudes. A ramp test by its nature is done with the antenna in close proximity to the...

    Why 2 tachometer inputs?

    Thanks

    Why 2 tachometer inputs?

Why does the SV system use 2 inputs for a single tachometer? Are both required, preferred or is only 1 required? Thanks

    Resistive fuel quantity

I am probably over thinking this but for the fuel quantity (or the A inputs in general) are they sourcing, or are the inputs only measuring the voltage applied to the pin? Thanks.

    NavWorx ADS-B In Compatibility

Re Dynon comment: Thanks for the verification. My principle thought is remote mountainous areas (Alaska and Rockies) where passes are not going to be covered by ground stations and wx often keeps folks low in the passes or in the traffic pattern below 1800 ft.

    NavWorx ADS-B In Compatibility

One question about the use of Mode S for ADS B out. When you are in areas where there is no ground station coverage, aren't you depedent on the 978 UAT transciever for aircraft to aircraft traffic? As I understand it, Mode S does not have an aircraft to aircraft "in" capability. This would be...
