Powering SkyView with battery for bench testing

I checked out the battery and it's in good shape and the connections are solid (Hi Galen, it's Scott from the KIS group). I checked the connectivity of the harness. I could establish connectivity between pins 1 and 20 to the red wires, but I show no connectivity between pins 21 and 22 and the...

Powering SkyView with battery for bench testing

I agree that it is probably a wiring problem. In the "getting started" section it states that if the two long black and two long red wires are put across a 12V source then the units should power up. That is not happening for me, so I am trying to figure out what I'm missing... Thanks, Scott

Powering SkyView with battery for bench testing

Hello, I am updating my D series panel with 2 D700 Skyview classic displays. The displays will power up and work per the manual off the Dynon backup batteries. However the displays will not power off of a large 12V battery. I have all 4 red power and all 4 black ground wires ganged together...

    HS-34 not responding after update

The light on the HS-34 flash briefly when power is applied but that is it. I have updated it before so I think the wiring is okay. Should I pack it up and send it in? Thanks, Scott

    HS-34 not responding after update

Hi, I have a D100, D180, and HS-34. The have been working well together for almost 200 flight hours now. I attempted to update them and the update on the D-100 and d-180 went fine, but the PC software will not detect the HS-34. I think the problem in that I forgot to disconnect power to...

How to recover from improper pitot static test

I have always had problems with the attitude information on my D-100 and D-180. For example I typically get 5 degrees of precess during takeoff. I had a pitot static check done without shutting off the units between check point altitudes and airspeeds as described in the 'white paper'. It...

    Fuel flow issue

My fuel flow works well once it has settled down in cruise but it becomes erratic with a change is mixture or power setting before settling down to accurate indications. Also turning on the fuel pump will add a bit of fuel flow in flight and will add a lot on the ground. The sensor is...

    Dynon D-100 attitude error

I have the same issue.  I have a taildragger and zig zag a lot during taxi for visibility.  It's normal to takeoff with the attitude indicator showing 5 degrees of bank.  I have a gns 430w installed.  I was hoping there was a way to cage the gyro to wings level just before takeoff.  Is there?  ...

    OAT problem

Ahhhh. I set it to N, but didn't re-DSAB it. I'll give it a try. Thanks, Scott

    OAT problem

My OAT comes from the magnatometer to the D-180 and it displays fine there, but it doesn't get communicated over to the D-100 across the DSAB. I've looked at the set up and tried to make it work, but no luck. Everything else seems to work across the DSAB. I can display the engine gages on...

    Data logging

Perfect thanks. I have the three 'clear' options, so 6 hours is great. I'll look into the serial data logger. 64 hz will be fun to play with. Scott

    Data logging

Hello, I'm a little disppointed in the small amount of data the D-180 will log. The book states 30 minutes of data at 1 data point per second. Is there a simple way of increasing the data storage without hooking a laptop up to the serial port. It would be great to be able to plug a thumb...

updated firmware to 5.2 and now DSAB doesn't work.

Re: updated firmware to 5.2 and now DSAB doesn't w Just to update the thread. The D-100 and D-180 will see eachother with the HS-34 disconnected. So we're assuming the there's a problem with the HS-34 and it's on the way back to the factory. I still think updating the D-100 with the HS-34...
