Skyview HDX ADS-B Traffic disappears then reappears

Just noticed yesterday that there's an update for the SV-ADSB-472 ADSB-IN that didn't install automatically on upgrade to 16.6... somewhere in SETUP > ADSB-IN. Only got 30 minutes to fly with the update, and leaving the TIS-B disabled for now to see if the update helps.

    Oil pressure fluctuating

Had the issue twice and both times it was a loose electrical connector at the pressure sensor.

traffic does not show on display

Can everyone encountering this issue please gather the data (see below) and send to Dynon support? I opened a ticket and Dynon's response was:

traffic does not show on display

I also get those "disappearances" of traffic on the SkyView frequently ever since the upgrade to the 472 ADSB uAvionix receiver. For me it happens even with light traffic away from airports. I also didn't notice it happening with the old 470 ADSB, I suspect it's a bug in the 472 that needs...

I also noticed some weird lag or wandering... is there some fix/guidance or contact support?

    Dynon ADS-B/Transponder Traffic alert error

Maybe Dynon could suppress the ghosting for the one case where the Atc system sends the tail-number of the target and it matches ownship tail#?

Flying with one screen instead of two - BAD FAN

After spending some time on configuring the 20% EMS screen, I am very happy with my single screen Touch. I also had to swap out the first Touch I got because of crazy fan noises, but Dynon made it a seemless process :)

New Dynon system for my plane

Before the touchscreens arrived, I was very tempted by the 5) panel knobs for A/P and SV bugs. Then I swapped in a touchscreen for my previous non-touch, and it works so great that I’m no longer tempted at all to add the panel knobs. 8-)

    ADS-B out

Xpdr does transmit on ground (in special ground mode by default), but I believe your Foreflight pretty quickly suppresses your tailnumber after figuring that it must be your own. This is by design because it's alarming to get a 0.1 mile traffic alert in the air from a target that ends up being...

    How To Limit Layout Options

I also stick with the single layout w 20% for EMS and gained some space switching from round dials to the straight bars,  Hobbs in smallest font etc.

    Using Dynon For Performance Testing

Homebuilt101, you’re not the only one fed up with N214ST who keeps turning good discussions into disrespectful and unpleasant experiences  >:( Dynon, I second the motion to ostracize & exile N214ST, and hope you can restore civility and respect here now that we have another complaint of N214ST...

    Skyview Touch calibration

Try to get your fuel pressure sensor working, too. The voice and screen annunciation gives you precious 10-15 seconds heads-up on an empty tank before the engine quits...

    ADSB 472

Mr. Bogash +1, and +2  :) RayInGA, my mistake in not communicating clearly: I meant to refer to the uAvionix ADSB-OUT products they sell for drones AND GA, which are under the FAA’s jurisdiction to keep us aviators and our passengers safe. If they can’t get ADSB-IN done right WITHOUT being...

    ADSB 472

Back on the 470, I am happy to report zero problems with ADSB reception with all the same antenna and other setup - seems like “wave propagation” had zero to do with the 472 problems and it’s all uAvionix hardware and/or software bugs and rip-off. I feel I finally gained back proper traffic...

    AGL box

I’d love the AGL box! Most motorgliders use about 1500 ft AGL as the reference point to start thinking about restarting the engine, allowing time for identifying a good field in gliding distance and for multiple restart attempts without breaking too much of a sweat  :-X

    ADSB 472

N214ST, your advice doesn’t strike me as genuine nor respectful of your fellow posters and aviators, but you’re hopefully free to foollow it yourself, if it was earnest. I already voted with my heart & wallet away from uAvionix, and Dynon is amazing in letting me do so. Thank you, Dynon!   8-)

    ADSB 472

Dear Dynon folks, I appreciate your kind words, understanding, attitude, and fantastic Skyview product. I hope that you will also still consider to give 472 purchasers who chose so a way of going back to your flawless 470 product. I’m not inclined to have uAvionix-anything in my plane or have...

    ADSB 472

Thx for the update, Dynon. Shame on that overhyped venture-capital outfit uAvionix for their non-performance in so many respects. I’m here to help beta-test after you got the loader coded that uAvionix should have provided in the first place.
