Generic vs Expensive Dynon Video Adapter?

Dynon sells a $190 USB video adapter when I can get a decent one on Amazon for $20-30. Do I have to buy Dynon or will the generic video capture USB cards work as well? Anyone tried that yet? Thanks Robert

    Serial Connection to XCOM 760

DYNON TECH SUPPORT UPDATE The XCOM serial input/output is formatted in such an usual way that they decided not to build support for it. So NO XCOM DYNON serial connection! On a positive note, their tech support rocks, called them this morning and got a call back within hours. #LoveDynon

Problems Creating Checklists? Maybe this Online Checklist Creator helps ...

Got annoyed that there was only an Excel version to create checklists, and that didn't work for the Mac, so I decided to do a little coding and bring me and you an online version built on Google Sheets. Here it is, for everyone to use for themselves ... http://bit.ly/DynonChecklistCreator...

HS34 Causing NavCom issues with Garmin SL30

Looks like after more research and noticing a "COM FAILURE" error on the SL30, I think the problem is a bad serial connection between the SL30 and the HS34. http://www.vansairforce.com/community/showthread.php?t=82204 Appreciate if anybody else has seen this, Robert

Anybody ever heard of the HS34 causing problems with the Garmin SL30, not allowing frequency changes etc? Just bought a plane that had the HS34 taken out because of this and was wondering if anybody has seen this before. Thanks Robert
