I have checked my wiring from the trim switch and it has the two trim wires and an earth. The Ray Allen diagram has you put earth and power to the switch but I have only connected the earth. Could this be the problem? An extra earth connection making the AP panel think the switch is stuck on...

Thanks for the reply. My emergency switch is wired directly to the motor, no connections, direct, just incase. When in use I'd pull the CB for the AP panel put power to the switch and I'm good to go. I think this extended action may be due to a bad wiring connection. Looking into it now Once...
