How about a F1 button for context sensitive help. ;)

    Oxygen tank pressure sensor

The 0-5V works. You can make up a special sensor definition. If you have the formula for volts to pressure I can help you with the sensor definition. It may be limited to the Enhanced General Purpose pins but there are four pins available.

    Boot up

Just tell your passengers it's a rhapsody. Personally I thought it was going by a bit too fast to read. ;) On a lighter note, good things are worth waiting for. I reach in and turn on the master to get the flaps out of the way for loading of my more distinguished passengers so they have the...

Fuel used -needs to be for the flight not leg

;D ;D Only in the movies. Before I bought my Glasair I read as many accident reports I could so as to get a feel if it was a reliable aircraft. One accident report reported that the pilot looked in the tank and figured he had enough fuel but as the report stated he was forced to land off...

Fuel level calibration 2nd try failed

I had cork screw type float sender in my Glasair and it didn't move for the first 40 litres.  :-? I also had to shake the plane after adding to get it to move and then let it settle before pressing the add button. It worked OK flying because of the engine vibrations kept it from sticking...

I tried a passport drive (NTFS) and it didn't work. But there may be other issues there. Just try it. ;)

    Charging Backup Battery

You may have 15V but maybe not enough AMPS. Skyview takes about 3A to run and your main battery is probably taking some. So if you're trickle charging at 4A it may not be enough. I switched my charger to 6A and left it overnight. That did the trick. Here is a screenshot showing Skyview drawing...

    Screenshots Format

Button combinations that I know about: Button 1: hold to turn Skyview on and off with backup battery Buttons 1,2 and 5: reset Skyview (warm boot) Buttons 7 and 8: access setup menus. Buttons 2 and 7: Screen shot. USB needs to be inserted.

    TIS traffic glitch?

It would be a glitch for TIS but pretty common for a ZAON as Trev noted. My ghosts are usually below me. I just assumed they were reflections of my own xponder off something shiny down there. Because it happens often I didn't think the ZAON worked all that well but it has picked out aircraft...

    Erratic EGT

I think an erratic EGT reading is a sign the probe is fried. I fried all of mine - see below. I replaced them this spring with a little more expensive ones ($90ea) and they all work fine now. EGT probes seem to be a consumable. That is they don't last forever.

Two items on one serial port

I believe that will work. You can have the TX function different from the RX function as long as they are the same baud rate. The only port that would be difficult to pair up is the Dynon GPS port. It runs at 38400 baud.

    DME for skyview

Ok. I have to ask. Why would you want a DME if you have GPS? Both supply a distance, except the GPS is horizontal ground distance while the DME is slope distance. The benefit of GPS is that it can compute a distance to any coordinated point (waypoint) while the DME is restricted to working...

    Battery test failure

The battery needs 12.25V or more to charge. It also takes four hours for a full charge. I'd check first if the alternator is producing more than 12.25V. The backup battery shouldn't discharge much between flights so several flights should fully charge it. You also can connect a battery charger...

    5.1 Log Data Problem

That worked. I made it a pressure sensor. :) https://www.savvyanalysis.com/flight/315530/7408edec-4b42-40c9-b8c3-58c7b0a7e6f6 The spikes in AFR at cruise are switching fuel pumps to check they both work.

No Transponder at top of screen

The invoice says ver 2.02 to 2.10. It was done in March.2012. It also added the ability to switch to ALT. http://dynonavionics.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1295207260/9#6

No Transponder at top of screen

Could be GTX327's fault. I had to update the firmware on my GTX327 to get it to display at the top of the Skyview screen. :-?

    Caution warnings

The EMS warnings tend to be specific rather than caution so they can be eliminated. I would eliminate all the caution warnings that pertain to the equipment that I don't have and specifically look for and try maneuvers that create the warning. When they happen check the PFD rather than the...

    Battery test

The battery test button is a good reminder on the shutdown screen and I can see the logic of making sure SV is not power externally for the test, but it's not a convenient time to be doing a battery test every time I shut down. It's an annual thing so I don't need to be reminded every time I...

    Battery test

Right button. There are three button options on Skyview when you turn the master switch off and the 30 second countdown timer is active. Stay on, shut down and battery test.
