Mooney. More specifically, short body Mooney.

    Skyview, IFD and Foreflight integration

Dynon doesn’t make Avidyne products, and what you are discussing is an Avidyne issue. Avidyne doesn’t allow flight plan information to be entered via ARINC. There is no finger pointing. I’m not sure if the decision is regulatory or not.

    Glidepath Pointer/Needle/Indicator

I for one like the sizing and position. I would like HITS to have VNav though…

Letter to Dynon, we need a zoom meeting about Auto Pilot.

Sounds like maybe IFR isn’t for you. Not if you need an autopilot to be able to fly your airplane... yes it makes it easier. No it isn’t and shouldn’t be a requirement.

    Question about compass

When I put my airplane together the heading was waaayyy off from interference. I was told it is not supposed to be enabled for this reason and the remote magnetometer unit is not possible in the certified installation. if yours isn’t up to 40 degrees off like mine was I don’t see why you...

In the certified installation the heading indicator on the D10 should be off.

    Mooney autopilot

From what I know, the people I've talked to, and the airplanes I have personally been involved with, I believe you will see more short body Mooneys make the purchase than the mid body. The reason IS the autopilot. Right now the only options for the short body Mooney autopilot are the old...

    Mooney autopilot

This is Dynon’s market research data. Its not as much about how much your airplane is worth, it’s about what it adds to the airplane. In this case nearly 50% if the interest was in the short body Mooney. The majority of that being the 65-67 models.

    Mooney autopilot

    It’s not a delay, it’s a cancellation. There’s a big difference.

    Mooney autopilot

OOFFFFF just saw this. TBD is a long time from the original 4th quarter 2020............... edit WOAH WOAH WOAH. What's this about not including M20-M20E!?!?!?!?!? Am I about to be REALLY angry? First you told me second half 2020, I was ok with that. Then you moved it to 4th quarter 2020 -...

    Mooney autopilot

This thread is meant to be a small annoyance to whoever sees it reminding them that - we're waiting.

    SV- ADAHRS

It's not just an antenna, it's also a receiver and has a bunch of electrical things going on. You need to check with a handheld compass and the GPS turned on to be sure. (as per the manual)

We need to talk about the dimming problem

Update: Got my displays back from Dynon and all is well. My displays now dim as expected. This has been a concern since last years installation and I'm glad to have it resolved. Thanks!

Loading a Photo or custom chart/plate

The charts use a chart ID number and are referenced in Charts.txt. Adding a chart is much more complicated than finding one and editing it. You need to add the entry in Charts.txt, and add all of the appropriate information. You then also need to add a record.

    STC for Mooney

Can we get an update on the current status of the Mooney AP? I haven’t seen the progress bar move in a while...

    Software Update v16

All this great autopilot talk and us Mooney people are still autopilot-less.

    Software Update v16

What Tailbeacon support are you looking for? It's a passive device and doesn't do ADSB in? What is there to integrate?

Loading a Photo or custom chart/plate

Yeah. I think if you mark up a existing plate it will stay that way until that specific plate is updated. Which isn’t very often. if you create a new plate and definition the plate should stay but you will have to redo the definition every time it gets updated. And I’m not sure how often that...

Loading a Photo or custom chart/plate

Thinking about this more if you copy a chart and edit the definition with the new name and coords that should work too. Would probably get wiped out on chart updates though.
