    Uncommanded Auto Trim Pitch Down

Hi Mark, This is a very known bug and it was in the auto trim from memory. It has been the hardest bug to kill off in my long history of working with Dynon and for that matter my entire industrial automation career. The problem had been impossible to replicate on the work bench, and the...

Hi Peter, Hope my posts have been helpful. If you need any Dynon help I am a Dynon approved supplier and integrator and probably their first user down under. I would also encourage you to look closely at the In Flight Safety gear I sell that integrates with Dynon, not to mention AEROX oxygen...

    Dumb pilot

Perhaps you have reduced the servo torque in AP settings? Leave it at 100% Next thing is do you have it out of trim? If you do not have electric trim or if the plane rolls a lot naturally, fix that. Also, you should have the connecting rod connected to the servo arm on the middle hole...

    Running Wires Together

The network cable will be fine. Maybe 3-4' will be fine too. Just keep it to a minimum.

    ADAHRS Failure

Hi Peter, You will need to send that to Dynon. They should reply with an RMA number.

    Running Wires Together

There is one set of wires I would keep segregated. I have had to diagnose and solve this on a clients plane, so I would follow this carefully. The SV-GPS 4 twisted wires, should not be run alongside coax (even RG400) that is used for a certified GPS, a VHF comm and probably VHF NAV for any...

    AP level button

The AP LEVEL mode should hold the wings level in roll, and zero VS in pitch. According to the manual.

Differences between HDX and Classic worth the cost?

Not for about a year or so. SVT is no longer. As for is it worth it? Hell Yeah.........but not if that extra expense means you will compromise on something really important, like fitting the EMS or a transponder. If the budget is that tight get a really good system with Skyview classics. I...

Pitch servo climbs in steps. Not smooth

Which values were good? The ones I suggested worked for you? The ones you had before?

    Flap position sensor issue

Jake, you say that.........BUT.....just last month, straight out of the box, a completely faulty POS-12. Yep.....even I know thats unlikely and wasted all manner of time checking everything else..........DOA from the box. It was an internal fault in the pot. Mechanical fault of the pot because...

Pitch servo climbs in steps. Not smooth

Yeah......kinda.... The functions are the same but not all the values and ranges are the same from memory. The Skyview values for some things are in a scale of 1/10th the D series. And the software underneath has not changed in a very long time with the D series, where there are many revisions...

    Main panel failure in flight

Make sure there are no SAN DISK compact USB keys installed either directly or in the harness on that screen. They are known to cause problems. So don't use them at all.

Pitch servo climbs in steps. Not smooth

My suggestions Roll Servo, set the turn rate to 0......yes ZERO ;-) Bank angle, up to you, but 25 is all you need unless you prefer more. Pitch........been a while since I have done any D series setups, so here is some things to try. Sensitivity.....run this up a bit say 14 or so. Pitch...

    Servo calibration failed

I am strongly suggesting not to hold the rudder tight at all. I have never done a Bo installation but the interconnect could be the problem. It might be loading the servo up when it is not expected. Centre the controls and keep your feet off the pedals.

Pitch servo climbs in steps. Not smooth

Post up your AP setting too, then we can see if there are things that are obvious that need changing or trying. I have posted settings in previous posts that work well on RV10 and similar applications. Do a search.

SV-COM-425 to SV-COM_PANEL harness data wiring

No, just 22G wire is fine. You can use STP if you want to but it is not needed.

    Servo calibration failed

Perhaps do not hold the rudder tight, due to the inter-connect it might be loading up the servo in its test. Did you get any page saying travel over X degrees do you have a capstan installed? If s what did you answer?

    Pitot heat fault

It is usually the pink spades that give you the trouble, not the tiny molex. The power connector carries a few amps (8-13A) so it is most critical. The fault signal is not normally a problem (as much as I hate molex connectors).
