if we already have the North America installed and working, is there any benefit to downloading and installing the updated version? I really would rather not spend another 2-3 hours doing this process again on two displays unless it was needed.

I get the same error- I am in a pre-flight mode- aka before start mode and receive transponder, other display and autopilot errors, all before even starting the engine, (this pretty much comes on right at bootup until engine start) once I start up they all go away. Inhibit at startup is "yes".

yes, I agree I had it from version 1 or whatever the first version I used for my RV-10. The resistor is like 1.5K or something and if the stars are aligned in the middle of the day it will spike on takeoff, than not for a while.

You will love the VP-200- but its a load of work initially to get it setup for everything (electronics and checklist, and modes, etc..) than there is minimal work required in the air as it does everything for you depending on the mode you're in.

On the io540 I have had the prop overspeed on takeoff randomly triggered but never an issue at lower RPm's, this is probably due to the resistors between the mags and the mag switch. The prop is at 2700rpm. Is a display issue Does the rpm go rampant at different rpm ranges?

Mariel; The time is what I had as well but it went from 99% to done in 1 minute or so. I would try re downloading the file and try again. I don't envy the time you spent on this, I shined the plane and did half an annual in the time I needed to wait to complete 2 displays.

I completed the upgrade, everything seemed to go very well , including a very quick database synch between the displays, which usually took forever in previous version. The terrain took about 2 hours per display to complete. Overall happy with process. No issues

In the three times I booted up the display, I also got this message but it always goes away after a few seconds. Appears the databases are current and working.
