As I think of this, were you loading the 2Gig terrain or the Obdata monthly database? If the new terrain than I would expect a long delay to load that size, but if the OBDATA than I question why it would do that for such a small file.

Did you check to see that the servos and ADAHRS were showing that they were updated under network?Almost sounds like the firmware did not upgrade successfully. However I see in the user guide page 12-5 that support needs to be contacted for this error.
