That's correct - only one USB stick will be seen by SkyView at any given time. I think it's the "first in" (ie, the second will be ignored)

The Gs themselves shouldn't be a problem for the device itself, and there isn't any software that limits GPS on G loads. Our guess is with yours - likely a connection issue.

So the warning is for the actual software downloads (see below). The databases are actually identical, even though it's best to stay on the certified side if you have a type certificated aircraft, and on the experimental side if you have one of those.

With SkyView classic, you'll only see the MAP button when the map is displayed on the screen. So I think the solution here is simply to turn on the MAP page under the DISPLAY menu.

It isn't independently adjustable. In general, the control panels dim and brighten with the overall display brightness setting (which is normally automatic via the light sensor, but can be set to manually over-ridden in the display menu)

I'm not in front of a display, but two ways: One - they're a discrete layer on the map items menu that you can turn off (I think), but also, I think it will show up under the Installed Databases page in setup. If that's right, you can remove it from there too.
