SV -XPNDR -261 Output of "Flight ID"

A few things to make sure of though: Is your N number in SkyView correct? That means no dashes, ensuring that zeroes are zeroes and not "ohs", and having your SkyView system up to date (the way we internally handle N numbers and hex codes has changed over time)

SV -XPNDR -261 Output of "Flight ID"

I believe that you're seeing the behavior we'd expect.

    XPDR Caution

Unfortunately, because of the protocol limitations described above, this is a hard message to clear and know that what we're showing is "the right thing". We haven't found a way to account for the (unknown) chance that such a condition persists vs was just a transient outside of having the unit...

Reading Serial Port to get AGL data

    a) This isn't currently output on serial ports b) There isn't currently a way to query for information over serial ports Unfortunately, this isn't currently a data field that is enumerated via serial (or any other) output.

    Network Configuration - SV-Com-Panel Problem

You might try using the network test cable that's included with your SkyView display to swap out some of the cables individually to see if that yields anything different. But barring that showing anything, we're happy to take a look at the unit here.

    D100 off axis mounting

You're basically correct about the reason: mounting the unit off-axis in yaw creates some undesired cross-coupling in your axes when you rotate. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to correct for this in software.

Remote Mag 236 and ADAHRS Behind Panel

Yep, behind the panel is fine. And yes, usually behind the panel is discouraged because of magnetic interference, but in the case that the SV-MAG-236 is in the system, the ADAHRS-based magnetic sensors are inhibited.

Do I need an A/P disconnect button with a AP74?

We don't consider the disconnect switch optional for safety reasons, but technically speaking the AP74 button accomplishes the same thing (IE you can turn the AP on and off via it). Note that you can't calibrate the AP servos without the disconnect switch. All of that said, the network error...

Use 0f SkyView files: analyze loss of electric pwr

The user data logs would have fields for aircraft voltage and current as seen by the amps shunt, IF they are connected to the engine monitor.

    D3 Lack of Wi-Fi

The D3 has only been on the market for several months, so it's a bit premature to speculate on future versions. There isn't a wi-fi enabled version of the D3 in the works, for what it's worth. The D2 went out of production about a year ago, so at this point you're only like to find them used.

    Upgrade to Bluetooth.

Our displays do not use Bluetooth for connectivity. They do utilize wi-fi for flight plan transfer and broadcast of traffic and weather data to compatible apps. That can be added to any display by purchasing wi-fi adapters for every display in your aircraft.

    Stick Grip Button Options

There isn't currently any selectability. There are 4 dedicated contact inputs on the display, with 1 and 2 mapping to optional Level buttons (if you don't have the SV-AP-PANEl) and 3 and 4 currently unused. Beyond that, there's trim, AP disconnect, and PTT from other components in the system. An...

    Garmin 296

I think you've done that, but make sure that the SkyView serial port function is set to GPS1. Also, make sure that under the advanced NMEA menu on the 296 that you set the data rate to normal, not fast. Also, are you seeing the RX counter and the good sentences counter increase on the SkyView...

Skyview Autopilot and Loss of Trim Servos

The autopilot power does not power the trim. Think of the SV-AP-PANEL as two products in one. One product is a set of buttons for the AP. That's powered by SkyView via the SkyView Network. The other product is a trim controller, with a few smart features. The SkyView-driven smarts - the...

Skyview Autopilot and Loss of Trim Servos

Strictly speaking, "The Autopilot" is the servos. The "autopilot" (IE servos) do not power the trim servos. There is a feature within the AP control panel that allows it to be your trim controller, but it's electrically independent from the AP itself. Think of one of the AP control panel's...

    Oil Temp widget behavior

You're seeing the special oil temperature behavior that is specific to Rotax engines. It's triggered by specifying having a Rotax engine in setup. It changes both the tach and oil temp red/yellow zones as documented in the manual (and on other threads in this forum) to discourage running hard...

I probably wouldn't return it right away, but here are some thoughts: First, for airplane specific technical support issues, we definitely recommend interfacing directly with our team at support at dynonavionics dot com or at 425-402-0433. This is most likely to be a loose connection, an...

    Remote Mag-236 question

The sensors are identical. The SV-MAG-236 has the same magnetic sensors as are contained in the ADAHRS. If you have a magnetically clean environment, the one in the SV-ADAHRS-200 will suffice.
