Do you mean that you only use it to adjust the heading bug? If so, yes, the multipurpose knob on the AP74 can be used to adjust the heading and altitude bugs, and also the baro setting.
Borge - I'm not sure I understand the question here. But basically, think of the HS34 as a device that can handle multiple inputs, including ARINC-429 sources. It also has controls that are centered around manipulating those external navigation sources. In contrast, the AP74 is centered around...
Unfortunately not. The fuel computer only sees the entire aircraft's fuel as a single entity, as it does not know how to apportion it to individual tanks (it only knows flow, not where it's coming from). For separate tank measurements, you need to have in-tank senders.
Currently, Jeppesen NavData includes the digital airport, airspace and obstacle information that SkyView uses to draw its own digital map over the terrain. Currently, charts outside of the US are only available via PocketFMS.
Well an update on this - we don't know of any issues here, but we're going to be doing a comprehensive engineering review to be sure. In the case that there is any exposure in any of the GPSes that we sell, we expect that we could address them via a software update. More to come as we learn more.
You may just need to do a DSAB reconfiguration if you haven't tried that already since updating the software. As long as both products are running the same firmware, they should recognize each other if connected and configured to talk to each other via DSAB.
So if you use the page swapping feature on the EMS to pull up the EFIS page on it, that would let you know whether the EMS is actually getting the EFIS's data.
For percent power all of fuel flow, OAT, MAP, RPM, and altitude (from a connected GPS or Dynon EFIS). You also need to have the engine type set to lycoming/continental, and have your HP set. It also won't display below 25% power.
Is there ANYTHING at all that is messaging or alerting on button 8 when you're hearing this? The only other thing I can think of is that there's an EMS alarm light line output that will fire with alarms. If that line was going somewhere that wasn't a light, and there was some alert firing, I...
Yes, this is true. SkyView Touch is being sunset, although we haven't made an official announcment (support, of course, will continue). SkyView HDX, SkyView Classic, and SkyView SE will all remain available.
The short answer (we think) is that it should "just work". Essentially, those non-rule-compliant aircraft that elect to equip with TABS devices get integrated into the traffic portrait/are directly visible by existing ADS-B receiving devices. The key thing here is " Aircraft equipped with ADS-B...
We try not to make big bold claims about "if you have X, you're legal", because flight situations and the information that they require are subject to some interpretation.
91.503 says "The pilot in command of an airplane shall ensure that the following flying equipment and aeronautical charts...
Also, what kind of device are you using to verify the flight id? It could be that some apps are smart and may negate their display of flight ID if it matches callsign.
So to clarify, it turns out we do copy the tail number into the Flight ID message. So it should show up, I believe. Double check that your transponder doesn't have an update pending (the software version would be yellow in the transponder setup menu).
