A Small Request For EMS Layouts.

HDX has them. I doubt the screens ill cope in Skyview Classic, but I could be wrong. I normally remove them, I hate them. Especially on the bottom engine band. I also find there are very few if any EMS pages I cant set up nicer and more logical and eyeball ergonomically than most I see. But...

    HDX with SV-MAG-236

Yeah yeah.... ;D Did some config file hacking today at the request of Don. Still no good. He replicated the bug but had the luxury of racing new stock on the shelf and he fixed it. Maybe this MAG-236 is a DOA. We will fix it, and post for future use should follow. Now get back to your...

    HDX with SV-MAG-236

Jake......Jake.....Jake. You know its not my first rodeo, since 2004. 15 years and doing lots of the old school D10/100/180's and now the Skyviews ;) Actually mate, when you get back I will explain the bug. It is a new species or a variant of an old unskilled bug. I must be just lucky. More...

    HDX with SV-MAG-236

Yes that chatter is my fault :D And the bug is possibly worse. I am posting here just for the benefit of others and once a bug fix is released this will only help not up to date users. So today we did a new complete and correct calibration. The data for the ADAHRS was displayed but the CAL...

    HDX with SV-MAG-236

Has anyone calibrated a SV-236 on a system with HDX screens and two ADAHRS? If so did the in air page show the 236 as being calibrated or still the 200/201's And yes it is on the system and wired right ;) It does not behave as per the manual photo, which was on a Skyview classic and older...

SV Snow ;D Sorry I can't help you here, we live in civilised temperatures, well except today where it was hot and humid >:(

Mutual documentation of the undocumented yaw servo

Dial the gains down.....but you are best to get it unstable and then decrease gains and sensitivity until it is stable. Start bad, work backwards.

DUAL ADAHRS Turn Rate Warning while standing still

Have seen this on my aircraft, usually when taxiing (but I must say very rarely) I have seen it on two customer aircraft, one taxiing and one yesterday sitting in the hangar. I suspect the comparison code is just a fraction too sensitive on this parameter and there is actually no problem at all.

Is HS34 installation approved under D10A STC?

You can have an Engineering Order (in Australia) to add these things over and above the STC. Probably a path to do similar in the USA I would imagine?

    Autopilot Behavior On Takeoff

Just a word of caution, you should not (read as SHALL NOT) climb in VS mode. You should use IAS for climbs. My Instrument departure is set the heading bug, fly off the runway, as I accelerate through 120-125 knots, hit the IAS button (this captures it) and then if I want HDG/TRK or NAV I hit...

    trim with ACM

If it is the indicator that is jumping around you may have a faulty linear pot in the trim motor. Solution to that is buy a new one.

Tweaking AP Settings for a Lancair 235

There is a very detailed Autopilot Tuning document on the website. Print it off and take it with you. Sensitivity probably needs dropping down to 10-12 and playing from there. Trim is important, and if you have auto trim get that calibrated first.

ADSB traffic on instrument approach plates?

Is that what ATC are meant to do for you? But then again unknown VFR just below the cloud base could be a problem. Lucky it is a big sky!

    AUTO-TRIM QUESTION

You need to do the TRIM calibration procedure. The AP Button panel needs to be taught which is which.

    Auto zoom

There are some more valuable features on the wait list than auto zoom. And just for the record I hate auto zoom......maybe I am the old school PIC. :)

    EGT readings

Yep, just like blades, they can all become loose. They all need doing up tight, be they crimped or OLC-1. In the OLC-1 you only have one connection to be tight, not two. And you can nip them up with an allen key. Blades can be the blade or the crimp. As you have noted a good crimp really helps...

    SV-472 to GTN/IFD units

I was referring to "other traffic devices" not just ADSB In receivers, such as the RYAN units via a serial in. In any case it appears not. ;)
