Probable fix for AP disconnects, cautions, red-x

I did the 14.07 on an RV7 yesterday all modules loaded fine, the owner test flew it today, so far :D

    Complete System Failure In Flight

I updated a mates RV7A and logged some events so hopefully Dynon will have a pile of data to wade through in the morning. :D

    Complete System Failure In Flight

This is why we buy Dynon. This is why I recommend and ultimately sell dozens of Dynon systems down under. And I don't actually sell them. This is what you do not get from the big G or the likes of Asp3n or others when systems fail really badly. Thanks a heap to Rob, Paul, Mike and Lawrence and...

    Complete System Failure In Flight

Maybe this is worth asking more boldly? Is there any chance we can get a roll back to the last version of V13?

    Complete System Failure In Flight

Can someone confirm if it is just the one screen being used that freezes….or do all screens on the network freeze? For those of us who fly IFR all the time this is kind of important. Is there any chance we can get a roll back to the last version of V13?

    Pilot cancellable alarms

And even more support calls from those who stuff it up! :-/

    High CHT notification

I realise this is a Dynon thread, not an engine management thread, but this is good education for anyone reading. I will try to cover these matters one at a time so hang in there. WOT does bring the EI back to its "Base setting" and this is not always 25DBTDC, and is often 26 or even more as...

    Pilot cancellable alarms

Indeed, and that was the fall back position. But in my plane, which was completed 6 years ago, and SV upgrade last year, those changes sound easy….takes days. The RV8 I am working on, is much the same, although we are going to now wire in :o the switches while we still can. I also think...

    High CHT notification

Not sure about GURU status that belongs with George Braly, Tim Roehl and the guys like John Paul Townsend who work for them. I do however run the Advanced Pilot Seminars engine classes in Australia and I do work with the GAMI folk so yeah, I can help. ;) Set your CHT alarms to yellow at 380...

    Pilot cancellable alarms

Good morning! DS, you have understood correctly and confirmed what I believed was the case. I just wanted to be sure before I started adding hardware to someone else's plane. The case in point is actually a pressure switch (could have also been a sender) where the fuel transfer from a tip tank...

    Pilot cancellable alarms

Does anyone know of a way to cancel an alarm status so that it is removed from the alarm list, and is effectively cancelled until the next time that cycle appears. Example a pressure switch (or any device like a Pitot heat Failure) activates, you acknowledge it, and cancel it as an alarm, even...

    They are the benchmark.

    High CHT notification

Joe, just an observation. Your CHTs are high, you seem to be very rich and the EGT is low. Are you running an EI? and if so how well timed is it? Just a guess but the spark timing seems to be too advanced. Also the little baffle plates in the front of the air intakes might need removing? Just...

Uncommanded Pitch Down when AP engaged

That is a good point. Unfortunately that was not ever a problem I had. But worth checking in any case! :)

Using the new Autopilot trim with VPX

And the auto trim is very good :D

Uncommanded Pitch Down when AP engaged

Are you on later software? I used to get this randomly, and a later version plus some trim speed changes and sensitivity changes, so make sure the software is current and check your settings. If the trim speed is too slow it might be an issue. :)

    RV10 pitch servo

Given I was the suspect that started the 'T' version off, back in 2009, and into 2010, the reason for the SV42T is that the resolution of feedback (encoder pulses) to the system is relatively small numbers because at speed the RV10 elevator hardly moves. It is a big powerful elevator (for slow...

    Erratic Altitude Indications

You know there are many Dynon folk that live around there…the factory is there….go ask them! ;)

    V 12.2

not seen any fuel gauge problems. They may be more stable though :-?
