    Re: Oil Pressure Light

See my answer in your other post. You may want to delete this redundant thread.

    Oil Pressure Light

I put a flex line from the engine to a little manifold mounted on the firewall. Spruce sells them. They have three individual ports with three access points for each. I use one for oil pressure, one for manifold pressure. Not using the third one just yet. I have the Dynon oil pressure sensor in...

    Network Error

I think it works similar to the Skyview system. This sounds like the D180 is not seeing the communication connections. Re-check all your wiring connections to the Dynon before doing anything else.

    Skyview / GNS 430W question

Thanks Jake. My 480 does fly all the holds and procedures but I am not sure they display on the Skyview map. Let me know what you find out. I'll get back here if I get to fly the Glasair in the next few days. I will check my display.

    Skyview / GNS 430W question

Dynon, is GAMA 429 Graphics an option for the GNS 480?

Transponder and ADS-B Antenna Ground Plane Questio

I used the small ground plane that Dynon suggests. I made it from a small piece of scrap in the shop. Better yet, you can mount it internally. The Velocity is fiberglass. Mine is mounted internally in a Glasair and it performs flawlessly with no drag!

Will DynonServos fly you down the glideslope?

The Skyview system will only fly the vertical portion if that is provided by a certified IFR receiver normally through an ARINC adapter. Your system will fly the lateral portion of the approach although it is not legal to do so in IFR conditions unless the information is provided by a certified...

    Dual Frequency ADS-B Receiver

If you are counting on virtually all GA aircraft having ADSB out in 2020 you may be very disappointed. It is a fact this need only be done by those who are currently mandated to have Mode C. The vast majority of the country can be flown without Mode C now and also without ADSB even in 2020.

    My Winds Aloft Reading Error

I have the same static port mounted the same way and it is fine. As long as the location is per the plans, the port should be fine. I agree that compass calibration should be checked.

AP started flying me in tight circles

Did you try HDG or TRACK mode for the Dynon to eliminate the possibility the IFLY720 is causing this by commanding the turns? The Dynon autopilot does what it is told (as shown on the HSI) when in NAV mode.

    Screen repeater app

I would like Dynon to consider developing a screen repeater app for the iPad. While the WIFI dongle will allow Foreflight synthetic vision to show the Skyview attitude etc, this is not the functionality sought. Ideally, the WIFI dongle would allow a repeat of whatever is shown on the screen of...

    K factor adjustment

Is it the fuel quantity in the tank upon refueling which is incorrect or the amount of fuel you expect to add based on fuel used? Tank quantity accuracy likely lies in fuel transmitter calibrations. Fuel used being incorrect is K factor adjustment. These are two different things.

ForeFlight connectivity comes to SkyView via Wi-Fi

Like the ability to transfer flight plans but the "screen repeater" is much more valuable to me. I will write to Foreflight to request it be added to the basic level (I do not need anything else in the pro subscription level so it just doubles my price). Dynon, please request Foreflight move...

    Altimeter/transponder recertification procedure

I am very much in favor of adding this feature as well.

    ADS-B compatability

The SV GPS 2020 is not an ADS-B receiver or transmitter. The only relationship it has to ADS-B is that it provides a WAAS GPS position source suitable for use by an existing ADS-B system in an Experimental aircraft to meet the FAA standard. Previously, a certified WAAS navigator was required to...

Garmin 480/CNX 80 Auto switching on approach

Dynon you are correct. The 480 also auto switches back to GPS nav during the missed approach. I had figured immediate selection of NAV for roll mode as a work around but it would be great to simply have the Skyview not change lateral modes. I appreciate that one can choose between IAS and VS for...

Garmin 480/CNX 80 Auto switching on approach

There are a few of us who use the Garmin 480/CNX 80 certified IFR WAAS navigator in our Skyview systems. There was a  question as to whether the Skyview would honor the navigators ability to switch between GPS and VOR/ILS guidance. The way this works is the unit uses WAAS GPS for all navigation...

    Pitot Static Check Maintenace Mode

Very much in favor of the test mode. I do not wish to introduce an error during the 24 month check as the systems operate flawlessly now.
