I replaced the input for a Garmin 496 to a GRT Mini. The Mini accepts flight plans from my GNS480 perfectly. It will output to the Skyview over serial ostensibly to feed the HSI as did the 496. Is there a preferred baud rate in Skyview? What format should I tell the Mini to use? Generic...

I would discourage long (5 mile) straight in approaches to uncontrolled fields. Using the same idea to enter downwind would be safer. Bear in mind radio use is not mandatory at these fields and some aircraft may not even be equipped much less using a radio. Food for thought.

Any chance the fuses in the wires going from the new shunt to the EMS were left out during the switch? Might seem too simple but easy to check. After this it would seem a conitnuity check of the wire from shunt to EMS pin might be in order.

You said "each side going to pins 24 and 25". You should have one end of the shunt to pin 24 and the other end to pin 25. If you meant this configuration and I misinterpreted, I apologize.

To be honest, the aircraft should be on the ground and leveled using the proper points for the aircraft in question (ie canopy rail, longerons etc). Dynon, Has any thought been given to changing the color of the backlighting? Either orange or blue has been used with some avionics and both look better than your comm display.

Sylvain, I have an RV4. The shape of the tanks and the fuel sender placement (using the Vans senders) makes it such that I see no difference in reading between parked in 3 point and level flight. You may want to just calibrate them parked and fly it to see. Mine works great.

While we are on the subject it would be a nice improvement if the Switch Tanks reminder did not reset at power down. Better yet, perhaps we could choose if the reminder reset at power down or only after fuel added. Would be an improvement to the existing feature.
