    track and heading wander

Besidesthe Dynon installation and user manuals which you should have at leased 'browsed' through as a user of the plane with Dynon displays (and hopeful full wiring diagrams), try to get a good understanding what exactly is installed in your plane and how it is configured for your specific...

    track and heading wander

Please provide more information. Is this the first use of the autpilot, or did it work before. Autopilot operations have a large number of parameter to configure the autopilot operations to the specific platform (plane). There is a Dynon guideline for this process.

    VPX Data to D37 harnass

Yes, and in this kind of setup you would want to connect the shield on one side to ground, a not-connected shield (electrically floating), does not provide the shielding that you are trying to achieve by using shielded cables. So in this setup using a 3-conductor cable with shielding is the...

    VPX Data to D37 harnass

In the wiring example you see the different variants in the connection. If a ground is added as the thrid wire in the bundle then you can connect it either to 21 or 22. 23 can also be used as it it a direct ground connection on the Dynon Display, but is has a default assignment as backup battery...

    VPX Data to D37 harnass

For the 37-pin connector both pins 1 and 2 go to the fuse of the 12V supply and both the pins 21 and 22 are connected to avionics ground, this takes care of the power supply to the Dynon display. You can connected the ground of the serial interface. Connecting the shield to the ground either add...

    Level feature pitching up

A question, the pilot;s User Manual says: Press the LEVEL button to engage the autopilot in Level mode. For safety in emergency situations, subsequent presses of the LEVEL button do not disengage level mode (unlike other AP mode switches). The level button transitions to 'STRAIGHT' mode which...

    Fuel Pressure Transducer Location

Some considerations: - On the engine - Getting all engine vibrations, pressure sensor might die early, - In front of the firewall (not on engine) - Vibrations reduced, still exposed to the hot environment, but the advantage is all pressurized full remains in front of the firewall, EMS wiring...

    HDX level soft key

I think there is a note regarding using a single button for multiple displays, that states that there should be diodes in line for each of the displays so that if one display is powered off that the level button still works on the other display.

Dual HDX maps don't match colors

Could it be that the left display has the weather overlay selected?

    Monthly update not working

Did you install any updated Dynon software or is all exactly the same as before the problem appeared?

    Video input setup (not available)???

Maybe one idea: note that the video USB must be connected at startup to be recognized, it's not like normal USB that can be plugged in while the Dynon display is running.

    Skyview Classic restarts repeatedly.

Shoudln't happen, unless there is some strange configuration defined in one of the units. TO get some more information just try to power up one of the sceens separately. Unplug one and see whether the other boots normally end then repeat with the other one unplugged.

    Stumped with ADAHRS Failures

Your reporting on these issues is appreciated, you are certainly not just talking to yourself. I am very happy to share experiences of other pilots, I certainly don't want to have to experience all possible problems by myself

    Remote magnetometer drift

Just a boyscout compass (you must still have one somewhere in a drawer or the attic) should do, you are not performing a high resolution measurment, you are just trying to prove that there are no magnetic fields near the installed parts.

    Splicing Serial Connections

Getting two wires in a d-sub connector crimp pin is not always easy, it depends on the wire thickness. Adding 10 slices inside the connector also doesn't leave much room, but you don't want to do it outside the connector as that part of the cable probably needs to be flexible. Also the cable...

    Splicing Serial Connections

I wired all serial connections onto a 37-pin D-connector and created a mating solder D-connector that connects the spliced pairs by soldeting very short bridge wires directly on the connector. This allows me toverify connections between the different unit by removing the plug, and gives the...

    Landing speed warning

Fair, expectations will vary based on conditions, is this a homebuild or a commercial produced plane. And also the specific examiner will matter with respect to his expectations. Also your comfort level plays into this, how well do you want to know the limitations of your specific piece of...

    Landing speed warning

Yes, you should read all :(, not only to understand your plane, but also to be able to answer the examiner when he asks questions about the plane in which you are taking your check ride. As a pilot candidate, you are supposed to know all (about systems and the plane) that is required for the...

FS: Skyview Touch 10" SV-D1000T [sold!]

Thanks, that is high enough for the video interface. If is not too hard to get an image of the working unit, that would be great. I am looking for a spare part for my plane. I am not even near the Seattle area, TX, so picking it up is not really an option for me
