    A/P Panel and Servo Connections

1 = no 2 = Trim motors are just that - they are usually low current draw motors & drive TRIM tabs. The SERVO motors are much more powerful & are powered directly from the electrical bus & controlled by the Dynon system via the SV network. 3 = correct. 4 = correct. Basically the a/pilot servos...

Auto Pilot Flies Left Wing Low

My method is to - Center the 'ball' n flight at your normal cruise speed. First step is that the plane should fly straight without your feet on the rudder pedals. Add a rudder trim tab if necessary. Now you may have a 'heavy' wing so then adjust the rigging or add Aileron trim tab or raise or...

Capacitent fuel probe to Dynon HDX issues

You probably already know this - Red Avionics have the CP10A specifically for the VMS probes, I have bought 5 of them recently & they do work. The voltages are similar to what is in Post #1 above. There are some difficulties setting it up as the instructions aren’t clear enough IMO - PM me if...

    SV AP panel mount install

Just a wild thought here - do you have any 12v to 5v adapters plugged in anywhere on or near the Instrument panel ? Did you also try turning everything else off, then turn them on 1 at a time, to determine if other avionics/electricals are causing issues ? Btw, a composite panel is not the...

Capacitent fuel probe to Dynon HDX issues

Thanks Mark. Just thought I add this to help others -There is 1 case where an Red Avionics converter is needed is when changing out from the VMS units (ie VM1000 or 800) as their CP10A converts the frequency output to capacitance (0 - 5 volt) usually required by Glass displays & gauges.

DEK-180 will NOT start up. Repeat problem after service by Dynon (no issue found, new internal battery installed last year).

Been there, done that. No one gets everything right regardless of training &/or experience - don’t ask how I know. ps - I know I’m asking the obvious, just trying to help, however you don’t have the ‘keep alive’ wire still connected do you ?

    Garmin GTR-200 intercom

Just a small correction here Rhino 🙂 HDX pin 30 should go to pin 31in the GTR ? I haven’t checked out the rest, just posted this obvious 1 😉 .

ARCINC-429 with GP175 not use serial port?

Correct - name it what you want. I usually clearly identify this way for example - Nav is IFD, Gps is IFD & for the Dynon Gps they are SV or HDX. As pointed out the Nav's are green & Gps is magenta so with the 'naming' there is no confusion. Rhino "but I was hoping someone who'd actually...

    Dynon SV-25-com-x25 distortion

As Rhino says - could be a wiring issue. More importantly for troubleshooting purposes, has this issue always been the from the get go ? If so then it's most likely a wiring issue as stated before. Which model PS intercom do you have ? Turn off the intercom as suggested - is the noise still...

SV Intercom 2S plus two comm radios

Maybe it's too late however why not just buy the PAR200B Audio Panel (PS-Engineering) as it is a radio(Trig unit remote mounted) Intercom, has blutooth etc, etc. When it's combined with the 430W you'll have an awesome setup with minimal use of panel space ;)

    Compatibility of other manufacturers probes

Shemp - if you are using the Vans fuel gauges & pairing them with the Dynon them that won’t work & why bother if it could, you just have more unnecessary things to fail potentially. I‘d trust a calibrated fuel flow computer before a simple cheap float/ gauge system any day . Fuel computer...

    Fuel Gauge misreading?

As indicated above - many aircraft gauges do not read the total fuel quantity for various reasons associated with the sensor placement & type etc. Basically it's the readings in the lower levels that's important & would get my attention. Although regulations in some places require the...

    GPS source from Garmin Transponder

Hope this helps - Position source for ADSB purposes can be 1 . Via SV Port 5 using the SV2020 antenna & SV-261 Txpdr. 2. External GPS using an RS232 output of ADSB + (different to ‘std’ GPS signal) or similar, direct to pin 3 of a SV-261 (aka Trig) Transponder. 3. Or use a totally separate...
