I have updated... I keep getting these messages

First rule- Make sure all the Dynon network devices are powered on. Second rule - Do a system configuration. Third rule - come back & let us know if the 1st 2 rules (normal basics) haven't worked for you & we can proceed from there.

VAL NAV 2000 + Dynon Skyview

Dynon network is only for Dynon equipment. ARINC data is only used with ARINC capable equipment that interfaces with the Dynon SV screen/s via the Dynon Arinc box directly. Serial data output only devices eg Garmin SL30 & VAL2000 etc connect directly to the serial ports (1 of 5) in the Dynon...

EMS multiple +5V outputs (Pin 18)

There's a lot of book reading going on at the moment ;). Re Aithre - my bad (sorry to Ned as well) , I misread your post as indicating the Aithre draws 300mA whereas it's the Dynon that has the 300 limit on pin 18. In your case using pin 18 still give heaps of margin.

EMS multiple +5V outputs (Pin 18)

Ned, with respect - the 300mA draw for the Aithre is to be considered here 😉 the ‘standard’ Dynon sensors (3) draw a maximum of 20 mA total.

EMS multiple +5V outputs (Pin 18)

Read page 158 of the install manual AD-V15.3. The limit is 300 mA however you also need 20 mA for the other sensors eg Fuel & Oil Pressure + MAP. IF that doesn’t work ( it should ) you can always use a 12vdc to 5vdc converter - they are very low cost/size/weight & available on line.

    EMS Trim Servo Connection

"Stein built my panel and included 3 wires for the flaps position sensor from VPX" - Given the wires are already in place then those 3 wires go directly from the VPX to the Flap position sensor (typically the Ray Allen POS-12) & the other set/s go to the Trim motors/s - wired as per the VPX...

    Fuel flow configuration ?

The 5v line is pin 18 (37dsub) white/red stripe wire & the power, 12v for fuel flow, is pin 15 (red) wire.

DEK-180 will NOT start up. Repeat problem after service by Dynon (no issue found, new internal battery installed last year).

The OP did not mention wiring as the issue but specifically a connection as a probable cause - did you remove the connector back shells to confirm the sockets/ pins are fully seated ? Just trying to help out here.

    Intercom causes howling on transmissions

Raymo - I know you meant the Mic jacks at least should have the shoulders & flat washers installed, the headset jacks are not so critical - just for the benefit of the OP ;)

    Manual Update Question

Agreed re paper copy over digital however colour versus black & white ? That’s a question for social media, not for a forum where people may need real help sorting out real issues.:)

    You’re not serious 😟

    HDX... noise...

If the noise is still there with the Dynon on & out of the panel its something else & not the wiring causing the problem IMO. FOD in the fan area ?

    Loss of ADSB-out

Ok guys, just some relevant some info here. Many people have all sorts of combinations of equipment so it may be a good idea to be specific eg - transponder model, is it the SV- 261/262 version or the Trig TT 21/22/31 etc? GPS input direct to Transponder = if using the SV- 261/262 then you MUST...

    SV-EMS-220 Multiple Current Measurement

A suggestion - why not just connect a shunt in the Alt output line ? as I mentioned earlier. That way you always see the essential basics of the volts/amps (as the volt sense from the bus is connected to EMS anyway as per EMS wiring) & if you want to explore more, just select the VPX page.

    D100 shuts down

Andy, there is one other simple thing to do before you contact Dynon support - bypass the panel power switch for the Dynon by just removing the wires & joining them together as there is absolutely no need to have a separate switch, it potentially just creates another failure point. Then do the...

    SV-EMS-220 Multiple Current Measurement

Alan, FWIW I use an amp shunt in the Alt B lead to show the output amps &, like DBRV10 says, just access the VPX menu to determine where an issue may be if I see any changes from the normal expected. As you know the VPX will show Alt output, amps IN to battery & bus amps current use all at the...

    FD180 negative EGT??

An input from me that may help (experience with around about 65 + Dynon installs) -- 1. Absolutely correct. 2. Maybe happens but not likely due to wire colours - most people understand that red goes to red & yellow to yellow etc. 3. an important difference here - IMO it's not the 25 pin...

    Loss of ADSB-out

Thomas - that’s a pity, I’d rather see you speed money on avgas that buying something else you don’t need, the 430w & Trig combo will do the job of ADSB OUT. There will be something missing in the troubleshooting here - I’m willing to assist offline here if you want? will PM you.

    Loss of ADSB-out

My bad re the resistor (its not required), confused it with the requirements for SV system. "Could there be a programable change in the D180 that would affect my ADSB. The warning I am getting on my Trig transponder control head says "WARNING NO GPS POSITION." Just want to be clear here -...
