    Skyview Network Connection Fault

I’d check it out by a process of elimination, unplug 1 x SV device at a time to find out which cable network is at fault & then do a continuity check of pins 1 & 6 (Green& Blue wires) & also check that those pins are locked in place by giving a gentle pull on them :)

    430W / ARINC 429 problems

OP - "Make sure a pin is not pushed back on the connectors". A continuity check will not show what Garrett said, you need to gently pull on the wires to see if the pins/sockets are locked in place.

    Strange radio problem

There lies the problem - I would never use RG58, modern avionics require a much better coax like RG400. RG58 is not allowed to be used in new installations in certified aircraft either so I would not use it in 'experimental' aircraft for the same reasons as the certified market ;).

    Strange radio problem

Do you have RG58 or RG400 coax ?

Skyview Capabilities from 2 Nav Sources

Basically yes, your avionics installer should know what to do.

    Sending Flight Plans to Skyview.

Alan, just a thought - if you haven’t done this try using the iPad without ships power & pull the adapter plug out of the 12volt socket if that’s the way it’s been powered. ;)

Screen lost all function in flight

Network is the 9pin dsub wiring, the other one is Ethernet which is only between both screens ;)

Screen lost all function in flight

As the Transponder was still showing it looks like you possibly lost the network connection to the left screen ? Did you check that ?

    Loss of Radio Transmission

The ‘tip’ re p-static was more an FYI as well. I’m figuring, from the unchanged symptoms, that you transmitter had had an issue similar to what happens when transmitting without the antenna connected.

    Loss of Radio Transmission

Nothing to do with radio getting wet ! Ever heard of p-static ?  Look it up  ;) I had the same issue once while flying IFR in my Glasair, lost comms with ATC - I could hear them sometimes but they could not hear me.  Never had that problem since. Without being able to look over your installation...

    EMS reading oddities

As Ray says, check your grounds for the EMS thoroughly. Are you using a forest of tabs ? & , if yes, the push on terminals from the same source ? Other cheap low quality terminals can cause grief. I always make sure that I use the grounds out of the ems ( sometimes splitting them if...

Where is the ems mounted ? Is it an RV with tip up canopy ?

Do I have an AP Pitch tuning problem

FWIW I use the SV42T on the Glasair, just need to carefully align it so the pushrod travel is parallel to the for/aft travel of the elevator bell crank. Having the auto trim option is the best way to go with the Glasair due to the ‘heavy’ trim spring bias ( no trim tab).

Do I have an AP Pitch tuning problem

Morgan, What I do with some aircraft is disconnect the static line, just vent it to cabin & then do a test flight - it’s a simple check to eliminate static system issues. Is it possible for you to email me a picture of your servo & mount method ? I’ll pm you. Jake Glasair IIS FT. 2400hrs Australia

    D-180 Tachometer rapid fluctuation

resistor is generally used as a 'fuse' for voltage output ignitions & magnetos & also has a dampening effect with ripple current.

    D-180 Tachometer rapid fluctuation

IF your connections are good the I'd add a 30KoHm resistor in the rpm line to the Dynon (if you don't have 1 already) worth a try & it's very a cheap 'test'.

    EGT Probes burned through

I know this is after the horse has bolted however I never have the EGT probes that close to the cylinder (unless there is absolutely no choice due to slip joints or weldments) as it does reduce the life of them. FWIW  My preference is around 3" from the cylinder. ;)
