FWIW - the cause of the noise issue was not the Dynon or Icom directly, more to the point it was an installation issue caused by the factory (LSA). The 'noise' was due to either (or both) the GPS 250 cable passing against the ph/mic jacks &/or no insulating washers on the mic jacks.

Larry - did you set the input to the EI as IN3 for Nmea ? refer para 10 page 7

You should get an experienced person in avionics wiring to check it out - IMO that is not Dynons job  ;) 1. That is better described in the install manual - use the latest version available on their website. 2. If you have the VDO style Oil & Fuel Pressure sensors, & the standard MAP sensor...

The app not the issue- it's the interface between the iPad & any autopilot that's problematic for now. Maybe someone will do it soon, at a reasonable price.

Bruce You will need to re enter the settings you need for the Avmap as it defaults to factory settings when you do 'upgrades'. ;) (Therefore the nmea etc will have been turned off.)

Avidyne essentially works same integration as Garmin, we now have an alternative to Garmin ;)

Too hard to remember all the various connect/disconnects. My simple solution is to just disconnect the Gps anyway :) Now if you could just reduce the size of the Skyview Manuals life would be easier there too. With people asking for more features I guess that isn't going to happen any time...
