    Not me :) tried it after our discussion today & while it may have taken 15 + ? mins all went well. Am impressed with the faster boot up. Forgot to mention - you could have tried transferring the download to another 'stick' as some have had issues in the past with different makes of sticks...

    Joe Do a search on this subject, my experience is that I've only had to replace 1 x EGT probe out of scores installed. Types of terminals AND crimping can have a big impact & cause most of the problems found IMO despite some having good success in the early engine hours :) Jake J

    Yes, I've done just that in the past but if the brown thermocouple wires are long enough I just run them through the firewall & make a single connection to the probes. What is the situation with your plane that needs a dsub ? :) Jake J

    Elmer What I do is level the plane on ground using the same reference point at the wingtip - more accurate & less prone to levelling errors if using say the backrest or fuselage IMO ;) Jake J

    Electronic Mag failure sensing

    With the E-Mag you only need 1x tach wire connected so then you'll have rpm input regardless of which (if) mag may fail, however if you are thinking of a possible wire break then add a wire for the second E-Mag ;) Jake J
